What would you like to see in the future for the dance community?

I think a more unionised approach to the scene would be nice. Solidarity and mutual aid – in regard to uplifting and platforming our peers.

Amsterdam-based artist Serena shapes morphing atmospheres consisting of a bold and unexpected fusion of aggressive noise with atmospheric musical elements, dubby loops, distorted guitars and harsh vocals. Serena, founder of SUBURBIA, Tbilisi's Mutant Radio collaborator and member of Garage Noord, dives into the past to recall old traditions and its ghosts of a lost time to create new non-linear narratives.
# 1 Insects. I feel them.
I hear them, everytime I look at her, side-eying her profile. A sound like the relentless whir of an electric lamp or the distant noise of a broken radio. It fills my ear and I can't ignore it. Like tinnitus, it drowns out everything else.
But when she catches me secretly staring, she gives me that perfect smile, signed by the little shining pearls of her teeth.
Her Perfect body eases my anxious mind. She covered me in tender kisses, gave me dazzling pleasure, with the quivering warmth of her insides.
I am under her spell.
But this time, what a pity. Why can't I ignore that small dot at the corner of her blue eye? I take her hand and she comes closer, like a groom to his bride at the altar.
This dot becomes my only fixation. I stare at it with transfixed intent. It begins to move. From that singular point in the white of her eye it pushes against her eyelid. I can't look away. First I notice a transparent wing, and then another, a head and the tiny hairs that shimmer on that fly’s filthy thorax.
The bug hesitates, flexes its wings, rubs its mandibles and flies away.
I look at the love of my life. With her beautiful golden hair. My hands follow the line of her body as I take solace in the delicate shape of her neck. She never stops smiling.
As my hands wrap around her elegant neck, I begin to squeeze .
Her blue eyes now tainted with red, her red lips now tainted with blue, her gentle body begins to shake and tremble, as the light of her life begins to leave her.
Then nothing.
Finally, silence.
A quiet, colossal, deafening silence.
Like a dark wave on cold seas, tenuous, subtle, plain, and then suddenly high, dangerous and roaring, the cacophonous hum rises. As her dead mouth breaches open, a million bugs storm out: flies and wasps, beetles and centipedes, scarabs, cockroaches, ticks, ants, spiders and worms.

 They surround me. They envelop me, they enter me. I have never stopped feeling her love.
