Mountain Town is an Americana music group from Park City, Utah who brings to you what they call “Acoustic Music from The American West”.  Combining traditional country with bluegrass and folk, yearning pedal steels and rhinestone emblazoned suits.  Singer, Songwriter and principal member of the group, Dr. Jon has been a performing artist on small stages and house concerts for over 20 years.  
The Ski-Town (and namesake of the group) of Park City, Utah is a tourism hub for the state and it’s vibrant, 7-day-a-week live music with musicians breezing in and out of town for a season or two provided a perfect musical environment to create music.
Arriving in 2000, Dr. Jon (who is also a dentist and practiced for 20 years in Park City) became part of the music scene.  Classically trained on piano and Flamenco guitar since the age of 6, he started gigging out in high-school and University bands and also worked as a session musician to help pay for college and dental school.
In 2018, Dr. Jon packed up a car-load of gear and headed to the Tidewater Region to teach Dentistry at one of Naval Hospitals associated with The Uniformed Services University.  This proved to be an excellent time to write songs.  In 2019, Mountain Town began recording for London UK based record label The Animal Farm Music.  They continue to self-publish works mixed and mastered at NashVox Studios (Nashville, TN).
