Sonatina Veehemente, Op.26 "Armageddon" uses various styles of music to express what human beings throughout the ages may have felt about the end of time.

The instrumentation is listed "for Piano with Clarinet" because the piano plays much more that a traditional accompanying role.

My friend, composer and pianist Bob Estelle, who writes "Florida Keys Music" composed this Bossa Nova for me in 2003.  He asked that I perform it in the style of Stan Getz.  Recording an album in a studio, being as it is, I had only one take.  I think that if I performed this piece more frequently, such as part of a regular repertoire, I would be able to smooth it out a little bit.

Since this piece was written for Benny Goodman, I chose to use a little vibrato, the depth of which doesn't seem to come out in this recording.  It sounds here more like a tape flutter.
