At this momentous juncture in my life, I feel lot more at ease for the teaming and unconditional support, encouragement and love of everyone around. It’s natural to love your work when your work gets loved, I presume.
Once my father said to me, The message was loud and clear; no matter what you do, first be a good human being. He compelled me to take part in arts in school and used to monitor my progress in details. From personal hygiene to public interaction, my father has given me valuable Lessons - perhaps that’s why I consider him as the greatest influence in my life.
I remember the first day of shooting. Everyone was kind to me to make me comfortable and I enjoyed every bit of it. After this, I did two more movies, but soon i came to Mumbai to join “Whistling Woods International”

VISHAL MALIK was born in NewDelhi, He did his schooling from Sonepat. Basically, he belongs to a political family. He developed a strong interest in acting since his childhood days. After schooling he wanted to make his career in acting but his father wanted him to study law and to be a lawyer like him as he was one of the best lawyers in Haryana. Vishal followed his father’s foot steps. Vishal Malik used to watch television a lot and all kinds of movies, that motivated him so much that he decided to make acting as his career. But his parents never supported him for choosing acting field as his father wanted him to join his Political Empire.
He went to America after words, there also he didn’t get any opportunity for joining acting career so he came back to India to continue his graduation, He then took admission in law and completed his Bachelor of Laws.
In the following year, he took admission in "O.P Jindal Global University" for his master in laws, which is one of the best and most expensive University for law in India. Vishal Malik knew that his parents won’t allow him to take up acting, but he decided that his passion is acting, and that pursuing law was definitely not his cup of tea. So he told his father that he wanted to become an actor. His father told him – “If you have decided to be an actor then you should go for the best acting school in India”. Then he took admission in “Whistling Woods International” which is among top 10 film making school in the world, located in Mumbai and is promoted by the famous filmmaker "Subhash Ghai". That was so impressive.
He has many Friends and relatives, who are working in Bollywood. They also wanted him to work in their movies, because they know very well about his interest and they have seen him as a model too. So, they encouraged him for acting as well, Then he joined bollywood to prove his Father and everyone, that he can do well by being an actor. And now he is doing extremely well in acting.

You School Days- School days were good ! I come from a family of laws and i lived up to that expectations. I was never shy of peoples, teachers were also like friends to me. I was a part of sports, dramatics, art and also school magazine's editorial board. I was an all rounder. But never loved studies...!
Tell Me some thing about ur college life- College was very tough and lot of hard work. Actor's Complain about long working hours but i never complain as i was always hard working since my school days Whistling Woods is very special, I got to learn about Acting Cinematography, Direction, Editing, fashion and camera. I started doing theatre and doing stage because of Whistling Woods International, it introduced me to the world of entertainment. Whistling Woods Plays an important role in my life and my career, if i am an actor today then its some where because of it.
What kind of work u wanna do- I m happy to be on the other side i.e acting. I dont think i can participate in any of the reality show, its really tough and you need to be paritent. As of now i m happy acting.
How do you feel TV & FIlm are diffrent from each other- Technically TV is certainly different from films, in movies you get the script, you go home, rehearse and improvise and perform next day or whenever the shoot is scheduled. Movies Mein sab kuch aaram se hota hai, but TV mien sets par subah script milti hai. There is no time to go through a script or rehearse; you have to perform immediately because of the cut to cut shooting schedules...
How are you balancing Acting and politics- Politics And Acting ! Honestly, I have never tried to balance out the two mediums. Things have just happened. Earlier i never though much but now i am aware of what i am doing and what i want to do in my life. For my both the mediums are interesting, I am totally enjoying it but i am not satisfied as there is a hunger within me to do a lot more.
Tell us about ur jouney in industry- God has been really very kind. I came here absolutely unaware of the industry & hoped things to fall in place. I struggled initially, and i was like what m i doing? But this struggle gave me a good grounding, if you get things on a platter, you don't value it. I have been fortunate that great opportunities have come my way and people have confidence and faith in me. I feel blessed for the versatile opportunities i got. Its interesting to see my graph and i feel proud of myself. It has been a great journey.

I am writing today because I want you to be the first to know some news.

This has been the hardest time of my life. I am reeling from the loss of my father. I am in deep personal pain and worried about my mom. And now my world has been rocked by so much more. 

Today, I was fired from the CBC.

For almost 8 years I have been the host of a show I co-created on CBC called Q. It has been my pride and joy. My fantastic team on Q are super-talented and have helped build something beautiful. 

I have always operated on the principle of doing my best to maintain a dignity and a commitment to openness and truth, both on and off the air. I have conducted major interviews, supported Canadian talent, and spoken out loudly in my audio essays about ideas, issues, and my love for this country. All of that is available for anyone to hear or watch. I have known, of course, that not everyone always agrees with my opinions or my style, but I've never been anything but honest. I have doggedly defended the CBC and embraced public broadcasting. This is a brand I’ve been honoured to help grow.

All this has now changed.

Today I was fired from the company where I've been working for almost 14 years – stripped from my show, barred from the building and separated from my colleagues. I was given the choice to walk away quietly and to publicly suggest that this was my decision. But I am not going to do that. Because that would be untrue. Because I’ve been fired. And because I've done nothing wrong. 

I’ve been fired from the CBC because of the risk of my private sex life being made public as a result of a campaign of false allegations pursued by a jilted ex girlfriend and a freelance writer.

As friends and family of mine, you are owed the truth.

I have commenced legal proceedings against the CBC, what’s important to me is that you know what happened and why.

Forgive me if what follows may be shocking to some. 

I have always been interested in a variety of activities in the bedroom but I only participate in sexual practices that are mutually agreed upon, consensual, and exciting for both partners.

About two years ago I started seeing a woman in her late 20s. Our relationship was affectionate, casual and passionate. We saw each other on and off over the period of a year and began engaging in adventurous forms of sex that included role-play, dominance and submission. We discussed our interests at length before engaging in rough sex (forms of BDSM). We talked about using safe words and regularly checked in with each other about our comfort levels. She encouraged our role-play and often was the initiator. We joked about our relations being like a mild form of Fifty Shades of Grey or a story from Lynn Coady's Giller-Prize winning book last year. I don’t wish to get into any more detail because it is truly not anyone's business what two consenting adults do. I have never discussed my private life before. Sexual preferences are a human right.

Despite a strong connection between us it became clear to me that our on-and-off dating was unlikely to grow into a larger relationship and I ended things in the beginning of this year. She was upset by this and sent me messages indicating her disappointment that I would not commit to more, and her anger that I was seeing others. 

After this, in the early spring there began a campaign of harassment, vengeance and demonization against me that would lead to months of anxiety.

It came to light that a woman had begun anonymously reaching out to people that I had dated (via Facebook) to tell them she had been a victim of abusive relations with me. In other words, someone was reframing what had been an ongoing consensual relationship as something nefarious. I learned – through one of my friends who got in contact with this person – that someone had rifled through my phone on one occasion and taken down the names of any woman I had seemed to have been dating in recent years. This person had begun methodically contacting them to try to build a story against me. Increasingly, female friends and ex-girlfriends of mine told me about these attempts to smear me. 

Someone also began colluding with a freelance writer who was known not to be a fan of mine and, together, they set out to try to find corroborators to build a case to defame me. She found some sympathetic ears by painting herself as a victim and turned this into a campaign. The writer boldly started contacting my friends, acquaintances and even work colleagues – all of whom came to me to tell me this was happening and all of whom recognized it as a trumped up way to attack me and undermine my reputation. Everyone contacted would ask the same question, if I had engaged in non-consensual behavior why was the place to address this the media?

The writer tried to peddle the story and, at one point, a major Canadian media publication did due diligence but never printed a story. One assumes they recognized these attempts to recast my sexual behaviour were fabrications. Still, the spectre of mud being flung onto the Internet where online outrage can demonize someone before facts can refute false allegations has been what I've had to live with. 

And this leads us to today and this moment. I’ve lived with the threat that this stuff would be thrown out there to defame me. And I would sue. But it would do the reputational damage to me it was intended to do (the ex has even tried to contact me to say that she now wishes to refute any of these categorically untrue allegations). But with me bringing it to light, in the coming days you will prospectively hear about how I engage in all kinds of unsavoury aggressive acts in the bedroom. And the implication may be made that this happens non-consensually. And that will be a lie. But it will be salacious gossip in a world driven by a hunger for "scandal". And there will be those who choose to believe it and to hate me or to laugh at me. And there will be an attempt to pile on. And there will be the claim that there are a few women involved (those who colluded with my ex) in an attempt to show a "pattern of behaviour". And it will be based in lies but damage will be done. But I am telling you this story in the hopes that the truth will, finally, conquer all. 

I have been open with the CBC about this since these categorically untrue allegations ramped up. I have never believed it was anyone's business what I do in my private affairs but I wanted my bosses to be aware that this attempt to smear me was out there. CBC has been part of the team of friends and lawyers assembled to deal with this for months. On Thursday I voluntarily showed evidence that everything I have done has been consensual. I did this in good faith and because I know, as I have always known, that I have nothing to hide. This when the CBC decided to fire me. 

CBC execs confirmed that the information provided showed that there was consent. In fact, they later said to me and my team that there is no question in their minds that there has always been consent. They said they’re not concerned about the legal side. But then they said that this type of sexual behavior was unbecoming of a prominent host on the CBC. They said that I was being dismissed for "the risk of the perception that may come from a story that could come out." To recap, I am being fired in my prime from the show I love and built and threw myself into for years because of what I do in my private life.

Let me be the first to say that my tastes in the bedroom may not be palatable to some folks. They may be strange, enticing, weird, normal, or outright offensive to others. We all have our secret life. But that is my private life. That is my personal life. And no one, and certainly no employer, should have dominion over what people do consensually in their private life. 

And so, with no formal allegations, no formal complaints, no complaints, not one, to the HR department at the CBC (they told us they’d done a thorough check and were satisfied), and no charges, I have lost my job based on a campaign of vengeance. Two weeks after the death of my beautiful father I have been fired from the CBC because of what I do in my private life.

I have loved the CBC. The Q team are the best group of people in the land. My colleagues and producers and on-air talent at the CBC are unparalleled in being some of the best in the business. I have always tried to be a good soldier and do a good job for my country. I am still in shock. But I am telling this story to you so the truth is heard. And to bring an end to the nightmare.

hi there, i am a bluesman like back in the 1920's and 30's living and surviving from busking...someone whom got tired going along with a system that deliberately does certain elements of mankind down and in particular myself...back in the day it was due to skin colour and if you were brownskinned then you were done down...nowadays the new 'black' is white...it doesn't appear, to me at least, to be a bias based upon race any longer, merely upon the choices the individual makes in their life...if you believe that cannabis is a valued 'erb and economic/energy and food resource that we need to end the usual reason for wars and diminish our reliance upon the habitat destroying oil and paper industries and their affiliates, then you are done down...well i for one know that cannabis/hemp (the same plant) built our present day world and the seed of that plant is also the perfect long-term nutrition for mankind and thats why it's illegal and maligned in most folks minds...basically it suits their agenda to have this opinion amongst the many....gordon brown, the ex deputy prime-minister, was britains largest investor in hemp, why would that be i wonder..?  you figure it out...a clue would be 'jack herer's' book, 'the emperor wears no clothes' read that and you will become aware...anyway enough about why they've done us all down and a little background on me...i came to music  after an abusive childhood, using it as an escape first and foremost... arriving at playing an instrument seriously much later in life as something to learn patience...this was in late 1989, the week the berlin wall came down...i remember this because i was being shown my second chord by my good friend and neighbour, roy millard, a week after being shown my first chord and discussing whether we thought the wall would ever come down in our lifetimes, to which we both said in unison, nah..!  ...we watched in awe as a week later we were sat there and people were destroying it with hammers...since that time i had become an hobby guitarist and 8 years later a builder of high quality acoustic guitars...around 1990 i was exposed to complex ragtime inspired guitar arrangements and begun taking guitar playing far more seriously as a result...becoming proficient in finger-style...  i continued to add new and more complex right hand techniques to my repetoire and this began to add a different flavour and dimension to the tunes i already had in my repetoire and this has continued right up to the present day...the next big change in my playing came about in early 2011 when i was passed information that pertained to the 'goebels' imposed standard diapason of A4=440Hz and suggested i try tuning to 432Hz... as a result of this fella's reputation i gave it a try...i became certain of the veracity of this choice after finding out a considerable amount of info from the 'schiller institute' which backed up what i was told... after virtually re-learning my instrument for most of 2011 and part of 2012 i began soloing anew... so basically i am a bluesman akin to those back in the 1920/30's america, who called 'unfit for purpose' on the system that had subjugated them and caused their poverty, the only difference is i'm not brownskinned, i'm the new 'black'...hope you like the music you listen to whilst here, it is played with love and is me stomping away the blue feelings my life has left me with and hopefully changing the outcome of the suffering and abuse i was affected by, into aural pleasure in the ears listener hopefully, thereby turning around a disaffected life... 
	now for a little on the history of the musical style i play and a brief overview of the origin of the music follows... 
    The “Blues” as a musical form, is probably the best method of soulful expression, musically or verbally, to release the effects of traumas suffered by people enduring terrible or hopeless situations.  With the Pre-war styles being an almost perfect vehicle for those needing an outlet for the frustration, anger or rage that a troublesome and difficult life had built up inside them.  The thud, thud, thud, pounding approach to the finger-picking, allowing the musician to beat out their dis-satisfaction, thereby “stomping away the Blues”.  
    Song has been the chosen method used, throughout the ages, to pass down knowledge or stories from one generation to another or from one geographical area to another.  The “Blues” consist of a simple repetitive rhyming form that was simple to adapt or to verbally improvise with.  Originating on simple one stringed instruments reminiscent of the early banjo and transported to the Americas by traders from Guinea in West Africa, whom were able, because of their physical prowess and experience in navigating some of the worlds fiercest rivers on the African continent, to row across the ocean from West Africa to the coast of South America utilizing the ocean currents.  This hidden history is re-surfacing thanks to the diligent research into early population migrations into the Americas, made possible through archaeology, artefact discovery and DNA. 
    The commonly held belief is that this cross cultural musical pollination occurred solely as a result of the slave trade. Whilst this may be true in part, there were most definitely coloured peoples in the Americas long before Columbus or “slave ships”.  Writings and Artwork prior to the slave era exist depicting both the African facial characteristics and these trader Kings of old, believed to be the origin of the peoples known as the Olmec the precursor to the Mayan culture.  Giant stone heads found in the Americas depict African facial characteristics without a shadow of doubt, these stone carvings even pre-date our present day calendar let alone the “slave ships”.  These elaborately adorned ocean bound traders were known for their gold tipped spears, probably the origin of the name given to the old unit of British currency, the Guinea, as this was the name the traders themselves gave to their gold tipped spears.  It seems that the African forebears of the coloured race were much like their Afro-American cousins of today with their “bling” ;) .  The currency/gold connection is also likely to be one of the reasons why that part of Africa is still known as New Guinea today.  The “Blues”, or more correctly “the Blews”, as a generalized term for describing sadness or low spirits originates from the old Maritime term “the doldrums,” this was the name given to areas of the oceans and the times when there were no prevailing winds to carry the ships so ships would just sit motionless almost, sometimes for days on end, leaving those on board feeling helpless and hopeless, hence the old English Maritime phrase “in the doldrums,” or as it was more commonly known in those days by the Sea Captains of the British Fleet, as “the Blews”.  
    This hidden history aside, the widely recognized present day musical form of “the Blues” is radically different even from the early pre-war Blues, let alone the very earliest blues which sprang from the very primitive single stringed instruments and playing styles which have been traced back to Africa by the study of banjo playing and building techniques.  It's a very detailed and drawn out study and one we haven't the space or time to delve into now, so we'll concentrate on the more advanced blues styles of play from the late 1800's through the turn of the century until the Great Depression of the 1930's, as it's melodies and styling can be shown to have inspired and contributed considerably to most of today's musical offshoots from the Beatles to The Rolling Stones and from Rock to Pop music, or from Jazz to Rap.  All now owe they're present popular status to the roots from which they sprang, “the Blues”.  There are several geographical based differences to the ”Blues” that developed as distinctive styles in their own right.  Chief amongst these and the starkest and most haunting of all are the “Delta Blues” which emerged from the Mississippi delta, though there are some similarities with aggressive “Texas Blues”.  I believe that these stark, aggressive sounds are a reflection of the deeper hardships and suffering experienced by the coloured race in these areas, a result of the extremely hard work and the absolute poverty conditions that were experienced as the daily norm in these industrial and farming areas.  Poor water quality led to blindness being more common in the delta areas and this was why there were so many blind Blues artists, unable to work, they spent most of their time playing guitar on the streets, hence the level of technical skill achieved by some of them.  Rural musicians of the day would try and emulate the syncopations and feel, created in the recorded marching band music or early Jazz that was popular at that time.  “Ragtime” or “early Jazz” was created in part bizarrely, out of fear and racism.  Ragtime was so feared in it's heyday that the press carried insane comments such as - “the only cure for this modern menace to society is a bullet to the head”.   Remember this ridiculous level of hostility is about nothing more than musical syncopation!  Patterns within the melodies that simply caused people to get up and dance!  It sounds eerily reminiscent of the modern day hysteria and outcry over Acid House music in the late 1980's which was supposed to have ruined Society.  Nowadays nearly every single track you hear on the radio has a House/Dance music backing.  It just goes to show the retarded and over-reactionary thinking of the established order in their belief that we need protecting from ourselves or indeed shielding from fun and frivolity.
     Ragtime was sweeping america by the end of the 1890's, making so called “decent folk” actually tap their feet in public!!  The greatest concern was “white folk” being swept into “delirium and frenzy” by the marching bands of the day because of their catchy syncopated rythms.  This was deemed so unacceptable because cultural norms were so very strict back then.   It would have brought disgrace upon any “decent” white woman and her family for her to simply be seen in public tapping her feet!!  Let alone dancing along with coloured folk or to coloured folks music!!  How ridiculous you are probably thinking and rightly so, sadly this was how the situation was viewed by the ruling classes and just as sadly it is little different today, merely tolerated as opposed to being considered inappropriate though now.  You have common sense to thank for that.  
     “Ragtime” or early Jazz was first recorded in 1926, the name of the actual recording escapes me now, but it was recorded by a recording engineer with racist views, who warned the black musicians they would “only be getting one chance at recording and when the wax was cut, it was over”.   The musicians, knowing this might be their only chance to make a record, had a discussion and decided to play their piece of music at twice the normal speed, the decision to play it this fast was due to their awareness that in rural areas of America (most were without an electricity supply), most folks had wind-up gramophones (early record players with 78rpm and 33rpm) so they could slow down their “fast” piece of recorded music to almost the right speed.  Quite a clever idea really.  When this fast recording was released, it swept the nation selling 3 million copies in one week and “Ragtime” or “early Jazz” was born.  
     Jazz is not really a musical style as it is often thought to be, it is simply a method of approaching the playing OF the music.  Recognized by scholars as “musical freedom,” it relates to the bending of, or non-adhesion to, the strict musical rules that had been set in stone for years.  Very fitting really that this form of “musical freedom” which has brought so much joy to the world through all of it's offshoots, has it's origin in such a dark mentality as racism. Therefore the “musical freedoms” we all share and which we mostly take for granted now, is owed to the quick thinking of a group of racially abused, hard-up coloured musicians.  Shameful, but nice to know, is how best to describe it.  We people are truly all the same, there are no differences between blacks and whites except that is, for skin colour.  We all cry when we are sad and we all bleed when we are cut.  It should give us all real cause for hope, that just maybe, all of the worlds woe's may just remedy themselves in the very same silver lining/dark cloud manner, now that would be “nice” and worth waiting for.
     The means by which the Blues influenced musical history is certainly a strange one and no mistake. The early Blues players who'd made the switch from “hard labour” as tenant farmers with little or no reward, to working for a few coin in their “life on the road”, playing instruments in marching bands or with medicine shows as early busker's, were eventually forced to migrate to the Cities or cultural centres through economic hardship.  The imposition of Jim Crowe laws made it illegal for coloured people to vote or own property and virtually overnight this added an unusual level of musical proficiency to the mix of itinerant self taught Bluesmen and Blueswomen.  This occurred because a great many “Creoles of colour” were directly affected by this harsh racist legislation and they were a part of the aristocracy,  claiming descent from French royalty.  Having had wealth and a full education in the Arts, some even having coloured slaves and/or servants themselves prior to the Jim Crowe laws being enacted.  A great many of these very well educated coloured people were made homeless overnight.  These educated types were now in the same sorry situation as the rest of coloured America.  These “Creoles of colour” with their opulent lives now over, relied upon their Classical training and technical proficiency on multiple instruments and they advanced the quality of street music almost overnight, blending vastly different musical styles into the melting pot of the streets.  Before this great leveller, the only serious technical advancements that took place happened mainly as a result of the coloured servants taking Note of any snippets of musicality seen or heard whilst going about their chores, allowing them to gradually become more technically proficient through practising the remembered melodies later on home made stringed instruments or old brass instruments left over from the civil war, (some Blues recordings have a direct relation to this parlour music, solely because of this cultural overlapping).  These technique advancements were facilitated so rapidly, purely as a result of these racist Jim Crowe laws, yet again another silver lining scenario from the dark cloud of racism.  Street musicians then took their new found technical proficiency back to their local rural areas, enabling the “Blues” to develop further and to then begin influencing the recorded music of the day all over again, exactly as it had done before.  This continual back and forth development and influence, from Blues to Jazz and back again, is the main reason for the depth, complexity and variation of the styles inherent within the Blues genre.  
       The “ragging” comes from the capture and full command of the melody and the tampering with the timing or musical feel of the melodic line using syncopation and swing rhythms.  It has its origin in the Jass Houses of Storyville (houses of ill repute in an area of St.Louis), so named because of the Jasmine perfume the prostitutes used to wear.  These places had live music (the house piano player had spy holes and played along to what the prostitutes were getting up to with their clients), this quickly made the piano players highly proficient and they'd gather after work in the local gin joints to “Cut Heads” or “play off” against each other.  Stomp Time piano as a style was considered by the upper classes to be tarnished, not only by this sexual connection to the underbelly of Society but also because of the “insolent behaviour” was believed shown by the coloured folk playing it or those smoking cannabis and gathering where it was played.   Remember, these were very prudish times and sex was not even talked about in public, so it being on public show was bound to offend the more prim and proper elements of Society who just so happened to be the ruling class.     
      “Insolent Noise” or “Jazz” got some pretty bad press and the hysteria it created caused an immense fear of black people by running stories which created those very same racial divisions within Society.  “Insolent noise” and all connected to it, namely the usage of cannabis, the insolent behaviour and the prostitution etc. were first to be blamed when white women fell pregnant after affairs with the free and easy going, liberated, coloured musicians who were obviously being found attractive by white women leading to many false claims of rape etc. to excuse their infidelity.  Further sensationalist reporting of these situations by the press fuelled this and other ignorant fears of the coloured race, the remnants of which are still with us today.         “Insolent behaviour” amounted, at the time, to the following -  Standing on a white man's shadow!! Looking directly at a white man whilst being spoken to!  Looking a white woman in the eye!  Speaking to a white man without first being spoken to!  These “insolent behaviours” may be known as “normal life interaction” now, but if you were brown-skinned back then it would likely buy you a hanging.  
	Hence “the Blues” being a daily occurrence...

From their dark beginnings in February of 2006, through multiple lineup shifts, and all the way to their undeniable present, diM. has showed unrelenting grit and drive towards their goals. diM. continues to show no weakness on their journey forward.

Starting from the spine, TwiTch, with thunderous double bass, tribal tom, earth shattering snare, and crashing cymbal work, he can take a distant thunder storm and turn it into flashbacks of a World War battlefield. The villian, OmNiom, bringing a low tone with skills from lightning fast pulls and slaps to purring placed plucks of the strings. Often immitated, never duplicated. CarveR, dark ambience and murderous sounds follow his wake as he spews the sounds of a wraith into an unexpecting crowd. Onto the dastardly duo on guitars, bAstArd the Clown and AsheS, combining mystic melody with grinding brutality. Swaying leads, fast crushing riffs, healing melody. Between the two, the bag of tricks is never empty. And finally the centerpiece, BeAsT. With a voice born of both angels and demons, he will sing you a sweet sleepy lulliby only to bring you into his vocal nightmare. Be prepared for abusive seduction.

With unwaivered dedication and a growing loyal fanbase, diM. has marched into many of Vegas' best known venues from The Cheyenne Saloon to even the grand stage of the House of Blues, opening for some the most well known national acts (Fear Factory, Mushroomhead, Motograter, Divine Heresy, Agnostic Front, Spineshank, just to name a few). The future holds an air of mystery, but one this is for sure. As the sunsets to dusk, diM. will bring the Days of the Dead in the fading lights wake.

Possessing a smooth, soothing, powerful voice with a mezzo-soprano range; Leana’ Cristiana brings us something unique under the sun, unleashing many rivers of creative flow while yet being a throwback to the best of so many musical eras gone by. 

She thus gives one a fulfilled sense of nostalgia along with a satisfied hunger for innovation. Leana’ is capable of entertaining and enlightening any audience with a multitude of colorful styles, but who she is, is as clear as black and white…young, vibrant and truly unique, a rare jewel on today’s musical shore. 

Leana’ grew up in the depths of Milwaukee, surviving an abusive upbringing through a passion for the arts. “Part of the reason I am who I am is because of music. I fell deeply in love with music because it was music that help made my father and the household calm; I felt it was a gateway to freedom. My father was a father I could love, my mother was someone I could look up to, and my sisters and I played happily. It gave me hope.” she explains. Her talent was recognized early on and what a fight it was, but they did not go to waste, even though life does have its way of hindering aspirations. 

However, Leana has grown to find inspiration in sadness and joy in all that life has to offer. Looking to great artists as examples, she enjoys, “The sound of India Arie and Tracy Chapman because of their smooth acoustics and clear-spoken truth; Tina Turner because of her soulful struggles; Lena Horne because of her determination and love for jazzing; Billie Holiday for the sweet yet bold spice she added to many of her love songs; and Ella Fitzgerald because of the fun and random conversations throughout her music.” Leana converses in her music as well, expressing great love and appreciation. 

2011 marked the returned of music to the heart of this musician, as Leana began to dig up her songwriting and re-compose songs. The first steps on the journey to make her voice recognized were humble street performances, singing with her guitar, “Just for the fun of it and just to gain that [confident experience]” she says. Leana entered 2012 with a bang by attending comedian Jim Gaffigan’s private New Year’s party and sharing an original song for the first time in years. After the snow melted, she entertained during a five-course meal at Shakers of Milwaukee in a show titled “Twisted Broadway.” Soon after, she was asked, along with American Idol finalist Leslie Hunt, to perform at a charity fashion show by designer Tessa Koller. Leana continues to play her cards and roll the dice (and pray), as she performs each venue that comes her way.

Currently she sings with the MPS Alumni Gospel Choir, who were featured on ABC/WISN’s “Seasons to Celebrate.” The group is focused on God and the community, performing a variety of music at a variety of events. The focus and variety match her well, and seems that her prayers are being answered. Pay attention and see what else is brought her way.

“I started writing at the age of 15 on an acoustic guitar that my parents purchased. My dad told my mom it would just be a phase so he kept the purchase on the cheap side, I believe I stuck at it because music was my own personal therapist and to show my father that my ambition was in no way connected to the solar moon cycle. My dad was very abusive to my mother and I was stuck in the middle listening to things no kid should have to. Headphones were my escape and best friend so as I grew older I wanted to be that escape for others, something to turn to when you’re happy, sad, angry, or balls to the walls hyper. After countless coffee shop gigs and open mics (from the age of 18-26) I finally carried a collection of about twenty songs to my producer/friend Acea Lashley. I compare the work of a producer to a salon stylist; they take an already pretty girl that is shy/quite and dress her to the nines until she is turning every head in town. We picked the 10 strongest tracks and begun recording 2 EP's (first one releasing 05/28/13 and the second due sometime early 2014). After fleshing out exactly what I had envisioned in the studio, other musicians quickly came to my aid to bring the album to life live. Now equipped with a line-up of very talented band mates and dedicated/driven souls, I look forward to what the future has in store for us and how much we can help push the boundaries along with other up & coming artists in the alternative music scene.”

Sweet, loving and caring. I'm a very down-to-earth person, frank, honest, friendly and a very positive person. I love to push my mind to think and generate more ideas all the time. 

One thing you need to know about me, I have guts and lots of them:-) It doesn’t mean that I am shy and as reserved as I seem to be sometimes.(???) :-), It’s just that I can do anything and everything for the people I love. By love, I mean real love, no other type of love exists for me. I am a complete woman! I think that I have all the charms and tricks that any other female has, but one thing is sure, I am not weak. In fact, I am brave and strong. I know that I have quite determination and can do anything if I need to set my mind to it. 

I am completely devoted and loyal to in a relationship. Still, if it doesn’t seems to be working, I will severe all the ties and become as cold as the North Pole. My characteristics profile is an odd mix of emotions and practicality, romance and common sense. When I fall in love, I show such extreme passion and intensity that only few other women can. I am a very loving, romantic and sweet person. Making me fall in love is, however, an entirely different task. I will demand total perfection from you, even though I know that I may fall short in that arena :-) sounds weird, but that's me :-)

It’s better to get used to my critical nature. I believe that I am extremely efficient and organized. I am a stickler for time and it’s better not to be late when you are meeting me. I will not break the new, expensive vase when I am upset, but I can be very demanding and fussy. If the fault is yours, admit that you are wrong and say. Don’t even try to argue, or I will lose my temper. It is better to leave me alone for sometime and I will cool down. On the other hand,I will find it very hard to accept that I am wrong. But when I feel and know that I am I easily give in and say sorry. I cannot tolerate someone using abusive language, not minding table manners, etc. It’s better to brush up your vocabulary too. I will not cling to you, nor will I become totally aloof. The reason for this is that I am aware of my own imperfections as I am of others. I don't like my house look like a garbage dump. I want it clean and nice. Your toast will never get burnt and your coffee will always taste just perfect. I have a witty side too and when I laugh, it seems like the ringing of little bells :-) 
ONE LAST THING TO END THIS LONG TALK ;-)))), I JUST LOVE MY FAMILY AND FRIENDS!!!! ANYTHING FOR THEM I WILL DO, BUT ITS JUST HAVE TO BE RIGHT SO THAT I WILL HAVE THE BLESSING OF GOD!!! :-) AMEN! GOD BLESS US ALL!!! :-)
