Recorded the piano track on a 100-year-old Bechstein in an empty school in Wisconsin at midnight. I don't think I should've been using it but it was that or the Steinway in the theatre next door.

The equipment featured on this track includes an Epiphone Les Paul, Harmony Sovereign, Randall Commander II, Marshall AS50D, found keyboard, which is somehow out of tune, Vox Valvetronix, Concertmate, and a Martin Dreadnaught.  There are various backing rhythm tracks which all play the same chords, with different variations of pedals and guitars.  The lead part was played with the Les Paul through an Analogman Sun Face fuzz pedal into a MXR M133 boost pedal into an Earthquaker Plumes set to the third setting into a DOD Gunslinger distortion pedal into a Caroline Somersault chorus pedal, the nuances of which I have yet to quite get down, into a Sentimental Bob Electronics Tacana tap tremolo pedal, the nuances of which I have yet to fully explore, into a MXR Phase 90 into a MXR M300 into the Randall Commander II on the first channel through the +0dB input.  The controls on the pedals were set as follows:

Sun Face - volume at around 2 o'clock, fuzz almost all of the way up
M133 - gain at around 10 or 11, always on
Plumes - volume at around noon, tone a little past noon, gain approaching 3
Gunslinger - volume turned back a bit from full, gain at 3, bass noon, treble 1
Somersault - top right at noon, top left a little past, bottom right at 1:30, bottom left at 10 or 11
Tacana - from top left to right and then bottom left to right: 12, 4, 2:15, 1:15, 10:45, 1:30 - no real idea how to use the tap, just clicking the other button on or off
Phase 90 - speed set to 1:30 or 2
M300 - decay at 10, tone a touch past noon, mix at 1:30, always on, set to plate reverb

If you're terribly curious, excluding the Sun Face, which only takes 9-volt batteries, everything else included external power and, though not without deliberation, I used a variety of different patch cables to connect the pedals.  The image featured here is what my recording space looked like after I landed this on the fifth full take.  Most of the rhythm backing parts, as well as the percussion are all full takes and the solo is all just one take, which I'm rather proud of.  I recorded all of this in mono with a SE X1S condenser microphone and a Shure 58 in Audacity, where it was mixed as well.
