Mad dog and purveyor of miserable electronics, Kinn, collages his eclectic influences into a singular pallet. Stitching film dialogue, YouTube rips, unreleased music and bootleg edits, re-contextualising these through sampling and studio processing. The mix becomes a meta-modernist narrative, dragging all of these tracks into the themes of Kinn's new album, Dogtooth (out on First Light Records 07/07/23).

“it was early may, about an hour after the sun had set. we talked slowly about our days, taking turns sitting on each other's laps. the nearly empty square was speckled with lit windows and the sounds of homes and faraway engines. to the right, a broken path lead to a vacant lot full of trash and wilderness. you had just started teaching, the pay was bad. r. and j. had parted ways because they couldn’t handle exhaustion and rent. a man parked his car, perhaps coming from work and —
suddenly a train of lights moved unearthly across the sky. in awe, i jumped and waved at the man. he was so quick as to capture an image of its tail before it faded into the dark sky.
that night i couldn’t sleep. the lights kept coming back to me and besides i was once again caught in the disintegration loops of my depression. it too was fading away into something new and unknown, though in the way of a piecemeal miracle. i warmly accepted it.” — Riva Mut

DIRAR KALASH MADE THIS MIX TO COMMEMORATE CONVERSATIONS HE HAS HAD WITH ODAI. ONE OF ODAI'S LEGACIES IS EXIST FESTIVAL, AND HIS FRIENDS WILL COMMENCE THE LAST EXIST FESTIVAL THAT HE CURATED IN LONDON ON THE 8TH OF SEPTEMBER THIS YEAR. Palestine's Exist Festival is hosting an edition in London in tribute to co-founder Odai Masri, AKA ODDZ.
Exist's seventh edition will take place at east London venues Cafe OTO and The Yard from Friday, 8th September, through Sunday, the 10th. Dalston's OTO will host three events each evening, featuring Nicolas Jaar (billed as Jaar), Rrose, Drew McDowall, Maria Eichberg, Sami El-Enany, Kujo, Zahra Malkani and more, with Hackney Wick space The Yard handing Saturday's late festivities with Lee Adams (AKA Choronzon), Dahc Dermur VIII, Oxhy and Renata.
"After the untimely passing of founder Odai Masri, AKA ODDZ, on 30th June, 2023, Exist Festival stands as a potent legacy to Odai's pioneering vision that has been instrumental in shifting the cultural tide in the region", the festival's team wrote on Instagram.
Masri had been a key figure in Ramallah's electronic scene since 2006, running labels like Harara Records and station Radio Nard. He was also a resident of Istanbul-based community radio station ROOT. He had been open on social media about the effects of his devastating double-ear infection, difficulties seeking treatment and with immigration, and his mental health in recent years. 
Exist has also hosted previous editions in cities like Ramallah, Amman, Beirut, Berlin, Oslo and Athens since 2019.
In June, Exist released a compilation, titled 'No ComplY', to raise money for a community skatepark in Gaza.
