Atrice are Lino Schilling and Pablo Chacon-Pino, two composers, sound designers and artists from Zurich. The co-founders of the Miras Collective released a heavy record on Ilian Tape last year and there is definitely more heat to come. Enjoy!

A slow-burning sometimes creeping mix from NYC-based DJ yumi, with the tempo hitting that sweet spot. She's part of the In Your Dirty Ears crew who run the new music staple newsletter of the same name - a favourite of ours! Through In Your Dirty Ears, the artists have hosted shows on French station LYL Radio as well as the go-to local community station The Lot Radio. Yumi has contributed to series such as Daisychain and Accidental Meetings and is a go-to selector in NYC, being booked to play at the likes of Public Records, Mood Ring, Jupiter Disco, Knockdown Center and more. She will soon be coming over to London for a cute party at Ormside Projects - playing for three local parties Cozi, Terra Obscura and Local Knowledge - alongside fellow In Your Dirty Ears member Amelia Holt, Kia, avsluta, Alicia, Gi Gi, Jazz and Roy Mills. Speaking about the inspiration behind the mix, yumi says, "there were a couple of tracks I came across in the past two months that I couldn't stop listening to (Mr. Curtains - Hop, Fibre Optixxx - Slugmist, and Wilted Woman - Tick) so it felt right to use them as a starting point for the mix. I colored it in from there with some other fire tracks that I love for a slippery, sludgy, creepy vibe."

Pavel Milyakov aka Buttechno gives us a peek into his sonic world in the latest submission for OK. Here, we walk with him through expansive ethereal plains, slow, shadowed with dust, in search for light.  Hypnotic, dream-like, subdued ambience melts into overdriven, chopped and screwed vocal manipulations, fragmented rhythms and whispering harmonious layers of sound.

Having achieved certain recognition with his dancefloor-oriented project Buttechno, the Berlin-based artist is currently focused on sonic experiments and artistic collaborations under his birth name. Pavel uses his work as a means to acknowledge the true historic and cultural context, delving into sociopsychological issues that haunt the society, and addressing memory — both collective and individual — and its potential to change our visions of the future. Working in a variety of musical genres he created collaborative works with such artists as Bendik Giske, Alex Zhang Hungtai, Yana Pavlova, Richie Culver, Perila. Pavel also runs and curates the “psy x” record label — a platform for sonic and visual works by like-minded artists, as well as for ‘non-format’ records of his own.

Ahead of her visit to Prague later this month, @hermeneiaa contributes an entrancing mix to the Deviant podcast series. The Warsaw-based DJ & vocalist takes us on a 50 minute trip soundtracked by murky pads and sparse, flickering drum patterns, clocking in at just below the sweet 100bpm mark.

Mika Oki (@mikaoki1) is an expert in spatial design, whether through the music she makes or the sculpture she creates. The French-Japanese visual artist works with video, sound, and electro-acoustics to create abstract textures and mental imagery that perfectly intersect the worlds of club rhythm and ambient experimentation. In the past she has been behind 24 hour performance pieces involving dancers, performers and poets, has played high concept festivals such as Atonal and Nyege Nyege and recently served up 'As Clean As I Was,' a debut production for a forward looking compilation on Metaphore Industrie.  On top of this, she also opened up the Brussels branch of LYL radio and hosted a fundraiser for the vital community station. 

Her mixes are never less than faultless and this week she crafts one such trip which balances many opposites: heady ambient synth work and rugged drums, busy acid workouts and sparse, bass heavy rhythm tracks, cathartic passages of musical mindfulness with brutal drum assaults. Artists like Pq, Sirio, Low End Activist, Simo Cell, Aphex Twin and Hanz all feature to make for a selection that tugs you in many different directions at once, both physically and emotionally, and for that reason we cannot get enough.
