Pivotal Awakening is a US-based Contemporary Christian pop/rock band. We are comprised of lead singer/songwriter Mindi Odom and bass guitarist/keyboardist/songwriter Andy Graves.

Friends for several years on our church worship team, we set out in August 2019 to record “one song, just for fun.” 

God had an entirely different plan for us and our music.

Our debut song, Soulblind, was nominated for four 2020 Detroit Music Awards. Mindi was voted as a Finalist in the Outstanding Christian Vocalist category.

Our second song, August Rain, received widespread coverage across Metro Detroit news media outlets.

We record at Real II Reel Productions with our incredible producer, Marshall Block. Our amazing friends join us to add their talents on drums, guitar, and backup vocals, including the incredible skills of Pat Cronley on piano and keyboards.

We have collaborated with veteran pop/rock singer Laurie Beebe Lewis, who is featured in a duet with Mindi on our song, "Moments."

We were nominated for five 2021 Detroit Music Awards and were voted as Finalists in the Outstanding Christian Group, Outstanding Christian Songwriters, Outstanding Christian Vocalist (Mindi for the second consecutive year), and Outstanding Christian Instrumentalist (Andy for bass guitar). 

That original “one song, just for fun” plan is now a full commitment between us to let God take us and our music wherever He wants us to go.

We have many more songs currently in production and feel so totally blessed for every single moment of this amazing musical journey!
