D.C. rapper King Mal was born Jamal Williams in 1994 in southeast D.C. growing up in the wheeler rd area of the city. The rapper begin to build a following from SoundCloud with a release of a few songs. His following grew even more with the release of his controversial debut ep “Weird N*gga” in 2016. A single off the tape “Supreme Gundam” has over 500k plays on SoundCloud and thousands of plays on streaming services. The record featuring his fellow Label mate and close friend Dizz Perez is still growing to this day. With Mal’s father spending most of his upbringing in prison and witnessing close ones death at a young age. Jamal decided to get into music for venting and therapy. His follow up LP “Mal Season” was released in 2018 where he got more In depth with his personal life with song’s like “Ward 8” and “Trap Gospel” while still being versital enough to create other songs like “Dirk” “Young n Flexing” and his biggest song off the project which is “No Cap”. Since then King Mal has released a single in 2019 titled “No Deal“. Haven’t released any music since then. His hiatus comes to a end as he gears up to release his new come back project “Paranoid” which is slated to release sometime in 2022.
