All There Is To It

DAY 6! decided to tackle another #vgmquest3, this time reaching back into the archives for Something Old! This is a reworked version of one of the first things I uploaded on here about 4 years ago and decided to give it a big metal makeover.

I'm participating in VGM Academy's #21DaysOfVGM Fall 2018 Composition Challenge! The prompts I chose today were:

"Music Box: Compose a piece for a music box, which may also be called a “lamellophone,” “linguaphone,” or “thumb piano,” in sample libraries. Most multi-voice keyboards have an onboard music-box-sounding instrument."

"Nap Time: Write a very short (less than 10 seconds) JRPG-style music cue for sleeping at an inn."

I started working on a city theme today, but it got a bit bigger than expected so I plan to keep working on it for tomorrow. So instead I put together a quick Nap-Time theme based on the Level 2 prompt! It was fun to play around with the music box sound, and keeping it under 10 seconds is a nice restriction when you're pressed for time!

Hopefully I'll have that city theme finished tomorrow!
