My debut into clubland was with a residency at a brand new Birmingham gay venue - Tin Tins Club in 1990 followed by appearances at Madisons & the University in Bournemouth in 91-92. I joined Tony De Vit as one of the residents at a new house all-nighter event ‘Hype’ in 93, held at Tin Tins – which ran until it’s closure in 1997 and was one of the city’s best loved dance clubs. In 1993 I began a 25 year Saturday night residency with Birmingham’s Nightingale Club, the legendary LGBT venue now celebrating it’s 50th anniversary. Other gigs in the 90s included a residency with ‘S.L.A.G’ at the Steering Wheel Club and guest appearances at ‘Sundissential’ & ‘Funkissential’ and Digbeth’s trance superclub ‘Gods Kitchen’. I presented a music & clubbing show on cable channel ‘Live TV’ in the late 90s visiting all of the big club events in the Midlands, interviewing many of the big name DJs and dance artists of the era.
The 00’s included DJ appearances at London, Manchester and Birmingham Pride festivals and joining the original resident DJs at ‘The Breakfast Club’ all-nighter in Kudos (Chic), Birmingham. I created & promoted the successful ‘HOM – House of Music’ night on the top floor of the Nightingale Club for a 10 year run, whilst also running the venue between 2006 and 2010 – winning the prestigious BEDA Best UK Nightclub Award in 2008.
During the last decade I continued the Nightingale Club residency, winning the Midland Zone Best Club DJ readers award in 2014, along with other Birmingham residencies at The Loft & The Core Club and The Yard in Coventry, plus occasional festival appearances including Back2 in Derby, Music Live, Proud Freedom Fest Coventry & Birmingham Pride.   I'm now Saturday night resident at The Village Birmingham & occasional appearances at The Nightingale Club.

Mark Jarman

Mark started DJing way back in the late 80’s and was heavily involved in the warehouse rave scene from it early beginnings. He then moved his skills into the club scene where he quickly became very popular across the UK and abroad
It was at that point he knew “Music is the answer, to your problems”. 
He first DJ’d at the legendary Marco Polo that used to run after all the clubs had finished at 6am until everyone dropped, The venue launched many of the top names including “Steve Lawler”, “Scott Bond” and “Andy Ward” to name a few. He then went on to DJ at many of the UK’s big nights including, Sundissential, Cream, Gatecrasher, Wobble, Crunch, Tin Tins, Sugar Shack, Hush, Fun, S.L.A.G. Naughty but Nice & many festivals and venues in the UK and abroad
He has a very distinctive style and loves the crowd interaction that means you always have a massive party when he plays. He fully believes that a DJ is there to entertain the crowd not just play music. He was one of the first DJ’s to incorporate scratching into his sets and this made him very popular in the UK with his abilities to do something or mix something that no one would have expected 
He was renowned for his happy bouncy style through the nineties and was huge on the dance scene for over 15 years before taking a break to raise his son
He is now back in full flow and his ear for knowing good music and what will sound good in a club has helped propel him back into the DJing scene and his production and remixing of has gone from strength to strength
He has taken to the tech house sound and is currently enjoying his resurrection DJing at various events and venues again. 
He has already remixed for labels and has produced a number of tracks and they have all now been signed Textro Records. He also has many others coming through the label later this year
The future is looking bright again with his style of making sure the whole event has a party.
