The sixth TEK release arrives to deliver unrest to the dancefloors with three big names. CHRIS VORO, a man who needs no introduction in the psybreaks scene, lands his debut on TEK records, with the track ALTER EGO. His signature style, infused with old school melancholy, slowly sucks the listener into the title track. Distorted synths, closely accompanied by delayed percussions, pave the way for a hard and thumping beat. Bass frequencies will tear and rend as the beat progresses into a beautiful trance breakdown. The first remix comes from the world class psy-trancer, Magnus. Famous for his unique, driving psy-trance style, supported by every big trance DJ including Armin van Buuren, Paul Oakenfold, Simon Patterson and more, Magnus delivers a beast of a remix.

We expected Timewave's unique progressive trance sound to provide an ideal companion to the original and he delivered, with an imaginative use of those themes.

Chris Voro - Penumbra (Original Mix) [Research & Development]

Next on Overload is Discover, Pharmacy, JOOF and Perfecto Fluoro featured Artist Magnus. From the onset the rolling psy bassline captures you into the hypnotic acid tabs, chopping vocals and evolves into the arp pluck riff to its eventual euphoric breakdown enriched with pad layers and infused female vocals leading the pre climax drop. This continues with every element previously introduced slowly introduced, until the familiar acid stabs and dark rolling basslines return. Support by Armin Van Burren on ASOT 693, this promises to satisfy any Psy Trance and cross over Zealot. 

On remix duties, Chris Voro return with two remixes. The 'Thumping' remix delivers Voro's classic Psychedelic breaks signature chart topping sound. With vocal chops, tough snares it drops with acid fuelled riffs and hard hitting kicks providing DJ's the perfect break to any 4/4 set and interpretation to the original.

In complete contrast, Voro demonstrates why he is an established name in PSY trance circles with the progressive 'Enlightening' remix. Consisting of classic interactive and counterpoint layers of pads, synths, LFO acid stabs it draws you to the delicate breakdown saturated with the riff in the original. The Vocal and acid stabs build to the eventual drop of perfect swinging PSY rolling bassline. A must have weapon for any PSY enthusiast, critic or professional performer.

Ever listened to a Trance mix and heard that unknown tune which really stood out amongst all the other tracks in a set.

The unforgettable rhythm, constantly on repeat in your jukebox memory. Your attempts to gather some further details has lead you to obtain a trackisting and you carefully scroll through the artist and track names. It is only at this point that you realise all your efforts have become a fruitless pursuit. There, in front of you illustrated in bold, capital letters is “ID – ID”.

“Prism – Topaz” remained anonymous for well over a decade having been featured in the legendary Paul Oakenfold’s Radio 1, 1999 Essential Mix World Tour in Miami. Mark Fazzini, the man behind the mystery had received countless emails regarding the track from all over the world but unfortunately many years had passed and half of Mark’s studio equipment had been packed away in storage. It was not until a chance email from Scott Bond who had enquired about exclusively signing music for his REBOOTED label, which prompted Mark to begin his frantic search for the long lost DAT in the innermost depths of his garage!

He was successful in his endeavour and what he uncovered can be considered a Trance treasure! This delightful package has five sensational remixes from Scott Bond & Charlie Walker, Chris Voro, Mindwave, Omar Sherif and of course, the original which takes us back in time to 1999!!

We love updates from the back catalogue here at Recoverworld Towers and this time it is the turn of Chris Voro who remixes the Ben Gold classic "Life" bringing it bang up to date in superb style.
For those of you that may have missed it the first time round we have included both the Original and the Sean Tyas remixes of the track that topped the download charts and graced the decks of the elite the world over when it was first released.

You Are My Salvation, is a well known artist to the underground movement. Known for his psy-trance and progressive trance productions on John '00' Fleming's, JOOF Recordings label and his progressive breaks remixes on labels like Old SQL, YAMS, joins Blacked Out Recordings to deliver his latest anthem.
'Asynja' is a progressive breaks masterpiece. Definitely one of John's (YAMS), best works so far. Tight drums, brilliant progression, blissful melodic elements and a breakdown that can elevate any listener. We had it on repeat for about an hour when we received it in our inbox. GOOSEBUMPS!
Label boss, Chris Voro, presents his interpretation of 'Asynja' in his trademark psybreaks sound. Full on punch drums and bass, drive the track, while fx and stabs are sculpting the groove. The melodic breakdown turns into a Psy-Trance climax with a Goa riff accompanying it, destroying any possible dancefloor. 
We're sure there's no better way to start 2016, than this release.
