Carl Jean-Louis, better known as Dextah, is a Chicago native currently residing in Northern California’s Bay Area. His releases throughout the years have displayed his love for hard drums and contemporary Hip Hop. Originally released by the seminal New York label and Blog Grandgood (Dj Signify, Grandmaster Caz, etc) “Relentless Disillusion” is Dextah’s first official full length and is evocative of a David Lynch soundtrack. 

Straight out of the artist's archives, “Relentless Disillusion Redux” includes limited copies of the original vinyl pressing, DVD, plus a download code (200pcs worldwide). As an added feature the never before released digital format includes 2 haunting bonus tracks, "All I Have Is Salvation" and "Lovers Spat" .

The project was mastered by Canadian beat-smith Sixtoo (Ninjatune). The vinyl version features a Bonus DVD by System D128 who is best known for his work with The Wu Tang Clan, Bigg Jus, Diplo, Blockhead, Madvillain and Daft Punk.

This project of early-works was originally circulated as a cassette, limited to 20 copies.
Recently, it was restored using modern audio restoration and preservation techniques.
This process involved digitizing material from 4-track, 3.5” floppy disc and one of the surviving tapes.

The title “Mood Algorithms” reflects the compositional process in which beats were created with inspiration from daily moods. The cover art, created by British designer Oliver Cartwright (<a href="http://www.olivercartwright.com" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">www.olivercartwright.com</a>), illustrates the sequence of these moods which are represented by the array of vivid colors.
