The final track of the album. This song is my tribute to Dusty Hill. The bassist and co-lead singer of one of the coolest bluesrockbands of all time: ZZ-Top. Dusty's bass playing was a critical part of ZZ-Top's sound for over 50 years and he also complemented the showmanship of Billy in an excellent way. His lead and backingvocals were also a big factor and the synchronicity with Billy made every show a great spectacle. After a period of declining health, Dusty passed away in 2021 during his sleep at the age of 73. Thank you for all those years of great music, videos, entertainment and inspiration.

This song began when Jonathan wrote it on his acoustic guitar several months ago with the intention of developing it into a larger song. When Josh approached him about doing a collaboration, Jonathan thought this one would fit the bill. I should say at this point how much we all admire Jonathan and enjoy his music. On the unlikely chance you aren't already familiar with his music, I suggest you go hop on his page and check it out. 
  All that to explain the level of excitement that ran through Eclectic Collective when Josh shared the project with the group. Chris was first to jump on it, coming up with his intricate bass line even before Ken added his moving drums, although they went back and forth a couple of times to create the rhythm section. Josh jumped on right after that part was complete, adding his mandolin and piano to the mix. Steven was next up, adding his howling slide throughout. Last, but certainly not least, Mark came up with the driving harmonica and twangy jaw harp, and the raspy fiddle, adding them all to complete the instruments. 
  At this point, we had a pretty good instrumental song on our hands. However, Chris decided to give it the extra kick by adding the vocals, the lyrics for which he wrote himself. Our multitalented drummer, Ken, added the vocal harmonies shortly after, too.
  Now that it was in the bag, we needed some production for it. So, we turned to Stephen, who mixed and mastered it in his alwasy expert fashion. 
  This song is a real treat for everyone in the band, as I mentioned earlie. We are all very grateful to Jonathan for sharing this song with us, and had a wonderful time helping bring it to life. We hope you enjoy listening to it as much as we enjoyed creating it.

But as the piece wanes, they find each other in a shared breath of melancholy—a simple, still fragile harmony that lingers in the silence long after the final note fades.
An elegy not just for an ending, but also for everything unsaid.

Hey everyone,
I’m Tony ; guitarist, songwriter, and a lifelong fan of instrumental guitarrock. I’ve been playing guitar for about 35 years now, spending many of those years in different bands playing both original songs and covers.
Becoming a professional musician was always my dream, but it turned out to be pretty tough. Around 2012, I stopped performing live after my last band — a classicrock coverband — fell apart after yet another line-up change.
To keep the spark alive, I started a studio project and challenged myself to write some instrumental rocktracks — something I’d always wanted to do but never really had the time for. This led to my EP “Tony Silverhill & The Spiritual Sinners” in 2018, followed by my full-length album “The Next Level” in 2022.
I’m not much of a self-promoter — I prefer spending my time on the music itself rather than on social media — and since instrumental guitarrock is pretty niche, my songs never reached a massive audience. But honestly, that’s fine by me. This way of working fits perfectly with my life now.  By day I work in a factory to support my family — not exactly rock & roll, but it gives me total artistic freedom because I`m not financially dependent on music. I make what I love, and I won’t release it until I think it’s truly ready. If that takes a little longer, so be it.
My roots are in metal — I grew up on bands like Iron Maiden, AC/DC, and Metallica. But back in the ‘90s, I went to a G3 concert and saw  Joe Satriani and Steve Vai which really sparked my love for instrumental songs. I’m also a big fan of bluesy rockplayers like Gary Moore, Billy Gibbons, Angus Young, and Slash — and if you listen closely, you’ll probably can hear influences of all of them in my songs.
If you’ve listened to one of my tracks (or are listening right now), I hope you’re enjoying it — I sure enjoyed making it.
