The Angry Black Man with a Plan: Khasad Yahu

At RestorationART in partnership with Fulton Art Fair will present an art exhibit titled “The More Things Change, The More They Stay the Same.”  This exhibition will showcase artists from Central Brooklyn with pieces that depict the past and its relation to current political, social, and economic events. More than 20 artists are represented in the show. The artwork featured here, a piece by Gloria Braxton titled “1963 Freedom Day participants or 2018 Black Lives Matter activist?,” embodies the spirit of the show.

The Fulton Art Fair is an arts-focused nonprofit organization.  It was founded in 1958 for the exhibition and promotion of fine and performing arts created by African American artists and those belonging to other strands of the African diaspora. Its mission is to provide a platform for established and emerging artists from Brooklyn to show their work.

The exhibition will commence at 7 pm in Restoration’s lobby at 1368 Fulton Street.

“THE MORE THINGS CHANGE, THE MORE THINGS STAY THE SAME”

Aaron has been collecting Art around Brooklyn for about 10 years. He will be exhibiting his "Found Art" this Saturday @ Sanctuary Space Gallery, 178 Lexington Ave. & Bedford Ave. between Noon and 7 PM.
As a family event there will be vendors, spoken word, art projects being created around the them of What was, Is - Remembrances of Bed Stuy and Brooklyn. Come out and support the Remembrance.
