The first solo effort being debuted by James D. "Tomahawk" is a track layered with heavy-hitting kicks and baselines, a 4-to-the-floor that is sure to make the club walls shake! Depth Perception - An organism's visual ability to perceive life in three dimensions (3D) and the distance of an object. The interpretation of this concept through sound by Kaïs & James D is bold, but one that does not fail to meet its high expectations. The bouncy chords, raw kick, decorative atmospheres, swirl vox, and loads of interactive elements make this track a deep and powerful club smasher. Thanks for listening.  

Depth Perception

The essence of cell creation, a stem cell is capable of creating indefinitely more cells of the same type, from which specific other kinds of cell arise by differentiation. Appropriately known in Spanish as the “mother cell”, stem cells and other progenitor cells act as a repair system for the body that replenishes adult tissues. In bone marrow transplants, bone-forming stem cells taken from a donor have the power to cure a patient of illnesses like Acute Myeloid Leukaemia. Kaïs & James D’s jaw-dropping new track “Stem Cell” has interactive and energetic synths, non-stop groove, and a deep swirl vox that put together a generative sound that via the use of filter sweeps intends to emulate the biological process of the creation of cells. This song is dedicated to our friend Matt “Tsunami” Tsun to show love and support during his fight with Acute Myeloid Leukaemia. Thanks for listening.

The title track of the album, "New Roots" delivers raw, organic sound that tells a story. Building itself from the ground-up, the song's title as well as it's technique reflect the new growing style of Kaïs & James D. Now as an aspiring and up-and-coming Techno duo, the album and song New Roots are a reflection of the birth of their new sound. The powerful kick and bassline, deep decorative sounds, flash vocal hits, and the organic synth made from scratch, give this song a unique flavour that is sure to heat up the dance floor.
