Born John Treymale Thurmon in the winter of 1991, Vallejo California’s own upcoming superstar would later become known to the world as “J. Treymale”.

As a child growing up in the church, gospel music was J. Treymales first introduction into the music scene and would play a significant role in sparking his musical interests and developing his natural talent’s. Bred into a family full of singer’s, JT was determined to carve out a spot for himself at the table and carry on his family’s tradition. He recalls himself always having music to listen to and would use his adolescent years in the classroom as time for rehearsal.

Based in a region where Con Funk Shun and Sly and The Family Stone could’ve easily been J. Treymales influences, he notes that his mom and aunt were actually his biggest personal influences when it came to music. Aside from his family’s influence, Treymales favorite artist as a result of growing up in the church has been John P. Kee since the age of 4.  Being raised in church and only listening to gospel music in the car made JT’s desire to listen to R&B music grow even stronger. On his search for R&B expansion, his ears would initially find the tunes of Michael Jackson and eventually Stevie Wonder and Luther Vandross who would help him develop a love for music that had meaning and purpose outside of a strong melody.

Though at some point in life he had thoughts of becoming a chef, which would have been an easier career path, he couldn’t deny that creating music is what he loves to do and would essentially become his only option. His love for music and belief in himself would lead him to attend and graduate from Berklee College of Music where he focused on songwriting. Artists such as Tank, Musiq, Anthony Hamilton, Jasmine Sullivan and more, inspired him to write and sing from the soul. Treyamales goal with his music is to capture and convey his most honest and vulnerable moments of his life from his past and the present. Speaking in his truth has given him the opportunity and ability to bring his listeners into his world, captivating each soul one at a time.

In 2017, J. Treymale signed a record deal with Haterproof Entertainmet which is a multi-genre record company based in Northern California. His first single “I Ain’t Thinkin Bout You” from his upcoming album “Deposits and Withdrawals” is set to be released by the label June 23rd 2017. So sit back relax and get ready for this summer anthem because it is sure to take over the airwaves.

This band "the alberts" is based on two people who desperately wanted a government grant to open up a pretentious art gallery in the evil winter of 2009 which proved difficult. the people are too complicated and fickle to be described in full. they have since been altered and expanded. They also are big fans of pie. and one of them... the girl one, has a bad habit of choking on food and or small colorful candy. Oh yeah, well the boy one makes really disturbing concentration sounds not unlike those of an over weight geriatric relator. He is a pretentious little snobby poop!!!!!! muahahahah! I hate him and he hates me. The girl one also tends to eat in the bathroom, like all the time. If you look inside the toilet tank you will usually find a half eaten roast beef sandwich. so there. the end. Not so fast... Hardly anyone knew... but the boy one encouraged hospitalized children with upper GI ailments, to scarf colorful gum balls so that he could watch rainbows flow through the extraction tubes and into the bile receptacle.(true story)

Linda Jenssen is originally from the heart of the Norwegian fjords and started spinning back home in the early 2000's. She moved to Sydney in 2005 and started DJing full time.

Underwater Airport is an improvising and recording multimedia ensemble combining music and projected visuals for the purpose of creating spontaneous portals into alternate space-time dimensions. Drawing inspiration from such diverse sources as shamanic trance music, 1960's free jazz and psychedelia, ambient electronica, and world beat, the band's members have practiced individual and collective improvisation in diverse settings far longer than they can remember.

In the studio Underwater Airport focuses on constructing consciousness-shifting music and video utilizing Ableton Live for audio and Livid Instruments Cell DNA for video, among other analog and digital tools.

Propelled by the double-drumming mind-meld of Peter Spellman and Russell Lane, piloted by the bass and Chapman Stick grooves of Jim Whisenant, set adrift by the floating guitar and synth loops of Ed Blomquist, carried aloft by the sax and electronic winds of Lynda Stephens, and enlightened by the projected visuals, pocket trumpet and wind synth of Marc Lisle, the Ambient Folk Jazz of Underwater Airport creates the ultimate launch site for departure to mystical heights and depths...

Peter Spellman - Drums, Percussion, Guitar, Keyboard
Peter found his way into music as a guitarist in various NY bands and then switched to drums after seeing the Police perform in the late 1970s. Since then he's performed and recorded with reggae outfit, The Mighty Charge, world music ensemble Friend Planet, and now with the Underwater Airport crew. He's scored films for the National Science Foundation, composed video games for Massachusetts General Hospital, and coaches music entrepreneurs as Director of Career Development at Berklee College of Music. Russell Lane - Drums, Percussion
Inspired by some ill-fated combination of the Monkees television show and his big sister's American Bandstand addiction, Russell began playing drums at the age of 10. After an undergraduate career studying and performing the classical art music of the 20th Century, Russell returned to his first love, the American drum set, and has never looked back. A lifelong student of music and drumming, he has been a constant presence in the musical community of Boston's north shore for the last 25 years.

Jim Whisenant - Bass, Chapman Stick, Laptop, Percussion
Jim's been playing bass and bass-like instruments for longer than he can remember, which says something to either his dedication or his memory. He remembers listening to The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, and Johnny Winter, then migrating through the English prog-rock catalog a little while later with local Wisconsin bands. Still later, at Berklee, he learned about Miles, and Coltrane, with equal interest in their legendary bass players. Not content to just play his instruments, he's also made some of them.

Lynda Stephens - Soprano and Alto Sax, Wind Synth
Lynda is a multi-instrumentalist whose quest for variant soundscapes has led her through many bands and ensembles to her current runway in Underwater Airport. Embracing technology has been a passion and the electronic wind instrument fuels her search for new sounds, while the soul of her playing still comes from her Soprano and Alto Saxes.

Marc Lisle - Video Projection, Laptop, Wind Synth, Pocket Trumpet, Percussion, iPhone
Marc earned a BFA in painting at the University of Florida before computers were installed in the College of Fine Arts, and after 10 years of post-graduate desktop publishing experience, he taught a variety of computer graphics courses at The Boston Architectural College and Pine Manor College from 1996-2004. He began experimenting with digital video and VJ presentation software in 2004, and has provided live projected video mixes for performances of The Free Range Experiment at Berklee College of Music in Boston, and the collaborative dance & prepared piano performance "2T Shadow Worlds" (with Sarah Slifer & Stephen Hastings-King) at the Tank Space in New York City. He has also begun exploring the layering of sound textures with electric wind instruments such as the Akai 4000, as well as his iPhone's ocarina app.

Ed Blomquist - Guitar, Bass, Synths, Laptop, Loops, Flutes, Percussion, Voice
Ed approaches the guitar as a hybrid between a meditation cushion and an interstellar kayak. He also enjoys making noises with other acoustic and electronic devices.

Underwater Airport is an improvising and recording multimedia ensemble combining music and projected visuals for the purpose of creating spontaneous portals into alternate space-time dimensions. Drawing inspiration from such diverse sources as shamanic trance music, 1960's free jazz and psychedelia, ambient electronica, and world beat, the band's members have practiced individual and collective improvisation in diverse settings far longer than they can remember.

In the studio Underwater Airport focuses on constructing consciousness-shifting music and video utilizing Ableton Live for audio and Livid Instruments Cell DNA for video, among other analog and digital tools.

Propelled by the double-drumming mind-meld of Peter Spellman and Russell Lane, piloted by the bass and Chapman Stick grooves of Jim Whisenant, set adrift by the floating guitar and synth loops of Ed Blomquist, carried aloft by the sax and electronic winds of Lynda Stephens, and enlightened by the projected visuals, pocket trumpet and wind synth of Marc Lisle, the Ambient Folk Jazz of Underwater Airport creates the ultimate launch site for departure to mystical heights and depths...

Peter Spellman - Drums, Percussion, Guitar, Keyboard 
Peter found his way into music as a guitarist in various NY bands and then switched to drums after seeing the Police perform in the late 1970s. Since then he's performed and recorded with reggae outfit, The Mighty Charge, world music ensemble Friend Planet, and now with the Underwater Airport crew. He's scored films for the National Science Foundation, composed video games for Massachusetts General Hospital, and coaches music entrepreneurs as Director of Career Development at Berklee College of Music. Russell Lane - Drums, Percussion 
Inspired by some ill-fated combination of the Monkees television show and his big sister's American Bandstand addiction, Russell began playing drums at the age of 10. After an undergraduate career studying and performing the classical art music of the 20th Century, Russell returned to his first love, the American drum set, and has never looked back. A lifelong student of music and drumming, he has been a constant presence in the musical community of Boston's north shore for the last 25 years.

Jim Whisenant - Bass, Chapman Stick, Laptop, Percussion 
Jim's been playing bass and bass-like instruments for longer than he can remember, which says something to either his dedication or his memory. He remembers listening to The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, and Johnny Winter, then migrating through the English prog-rock catalog a little while later with local Wisconsin bands. Still later, at Berklee, he learned about Miles, and Coltrane, with equal interest in their legendary bass players. Not content to just play his instruments, he's also made some of them.

Lynda Stephens - Soprano and Alto Sax, Wind Synth 
Lynda is a multi-instrumentalist whose quest for variant soundscapes has led her through many bands and ensembles to her current runway in Underwater Airport. Embracing technology has been a passion and the electronic wind instrument fuels her search for new sounds, while the soul of her playing still comes from her Soprano and Alto Saxes.

Marc Lisle - Video Projection, Laptop, Wind Synth, Pocket Trumpet, Percussion, iPhone 
Marc earned a BFA in painting at the University of Florida before computers were installed in the College of Fine Arts, and after 10 years of post-graduate desktop publishing experience, he taught a variety of computer graphics courses at The Boston Architectural College and Pine Manor College from 1996-2004. He began experimenting with digital video and VJ presentation software in 2004, and has provided live projected video mixes for performances of The Free Range Experiment at Berklee College of Music in Boston, and the collaborative dance & prepared piano performance "2T Shadow Worlds" (with Sarah Slifer & Stephen Hastings-King) at the Tank Space in New York City. He has also begun exploring the layering of sound textures with electric wind instruments such as the Akai 4000, as well as his iPhone's ocarina app.

Ed Blomquist - Guitar, Bass, Synths, Laptop, Loops, Flutes, Percussion, Voice 
Ed approaches the guitar as a hybrid between a meditation cushion and an interstellar kayak. He also enjoys making noises with other acoustic and electronic devices.

A brief history of Discolored Perception’s career in music in the Colorado underground punk scene featuring Memphis Linzy lead singer/guitarist and chief songwriter.

The band created its own scene around its contagious blend of old-school Punk, Grunge, Blues and Rockabilly in its hometown of Aspen, Colorado. 

Independently released 3 full length albums and 2 EPs. Featured in skateboard and snowboard videos on Fox Sports, Hawaii's Ballistic TV, and ESPN's Winter X games. The music has been played on Aspen radio station KSPN, live and on-air interviews. Aspen’s KSNO, Boulder’s 1190am, Carbondale’s KDNK, Grand Junction's KMSA, as well as Memphis, TN based WEVL.

Sharing stages over the years with the likes of Agnostic Front, Supersuckers, Agent Orange(2x), Dead Kennedy's, The Blasters(LA)2x, Throw Rag, Guttermouth, Hudson Falcons, The Weirdos, Koffin Kats, Lower Class Brats, Roger Miret & The Disasters, Vice Squad(UK), Total Chaos, Blitz(UK), Walter Lure(Heartbreakers), and Quiet Riot (original line-up).

Invited to NYC to play CBGBs for the Meany Festival 2004. Invited back by the club in November 2005 to play a headlining show and again in NYC to play a gig at Piano’s with Dougie Needles (Joan Jett’s) lead guitarist.

The group travelled to Sam Phillips Studios
in Memphis, Tennessee in 2013 and recorded songs with Roland Janes, member of original Sun Records house band and Jerry Lee Lewis’s lead guitar player.

The first single from the session was released in late August 2013 entitled "Don't Let It Go To Your Head" which was mixed and mastered with additional production by Ed Stasium, 
famed Ramones producer who also sang backing vocals on the track. 

The accompanying video was released on Youtube featuring a slideshow of the band in and around Memphis during the session. The song went live on itunes/Pandora in May 2014 and was in regular rotation on Radio CMC in Colorado.  

The band travelled to Seattle in the summer of 2014 and recorded a full length album with Jack Endino, infamous producer (Nirvana, Mudhoney, Zeke) and played a gig at the legendary El Corazon(Off-Ramp) while in town. 

The first single "Just Sayin'" of the record made its radio debut on the Hession Session 99.1 Outer Banks, NC. September 12, 2015. It was also picked up by 1190 AM Boulder, CO, Radio CMC 93.9 Glenwood Springs and KNTU 88.1 Denton, TX and numerous other college radio stations.

A video for the song was recorded with Dallas, TX filmmaker Marc Benavidez and can be found on youtube. 

A record release party and live performance was at The Beauty Bar in downtown Las Vegas Nov 2015.

The band played around Dallas and Fort Worth, TX 2013-2017,  including Gas Monkey, the venue of Richard Rawlings, from Discovery channel's Fast and Loud as well as Reno’s on the 50th anniversary of the JFK shooting. Three Links in Deep Ellum with legendary punk bands The Weirdos from Hollywood, CA and The Hudson Falcons from NJ. 

The band continued playing locally in Colorado and regionally in Texas into the new year and travelled to Nashville for a gig with local punks Tank Rats in Nov 2016 before heading back to Seattle for a new recording session with producer Jack Endino.

The session in Seattle at Soundhouse studios in December 2016 resulted in two released singles “One Hot Mess”released May 1. 2017 and “Fun And Games" release date September 23, 2017. Endino also played bass on both songs and lead guitar on “Fun and Games.”

Discolored Perception reemerged in 2022 in Carbondale, Colorado playing local shows supporting touring Denver bands Clusterfux, Red Stinger, Pitch Invasion, King Rat, Egoista, Kobra Thighs,as well as support slots for national acts Guttermouth and Black Pistol Fire. 

Currently working on a new record in 2025 with producer Ed Stasium (Ramones, Talking Heads, Rev. Horton Heat) Recording at Mad Dog Ranch Studio with Wes Lanich in Old Snowmass, Colorado.
