For its Borletti-Buitnoni Trust-supported 2CD release on Resonus Classics of all six Haydn Op 20 Quartets, the Dudok Quartet Amsterdam has returned to one of its first loves: Haydn.  Arguing that these works contain the germ of the whole quartet literature, the quartet commissioned new classical bows from bow maker Luis Emilio Rodríguez Carrington, based in The Hague.   Volume 1 of the set, released on 27 September 2019, includes Op 20 Nos 2, 3 & 5. Volume 2, with Op 20 Nos 1, 4 & 6, will be released in spring 2020, on Resonus Classics.
