Goldbar - July 2024

We are back with episode 21 of our MIX segment, this time we are proudly presenting Moff & Tarkin who has recorded a cruising summer mix filled with his favourite summer tunes.

Moff & Tarkin is actually just one guy! In spite of that he has managed to release quite a few releases on labels such as Studio Barnhus and Dirt Crew. He is constantly trying to figure out how to mix together breaks and disco. Sometimes it works! Sometimes it doesn't. But that does not seem to stop him from trying.

We have been big fans of his music since we discovered it earlier this year. His unique way of fusing heavy breaks with lush vocal chops and acidy basslines have caught us by suprise and made us fall in love!

My name is Cosmo, I am a DJ born and raised in Ohio currently based in NYC. I am most known for my high-energy sets that incorporate house, club and r&b. I always try to bring people back in time with familiar tunes in a whole different way. 

I grew up to music always being played from the time I woke up till the time I went to bed. I started DJing when I was 15 from my older cousin visiting from NY showing me dance tracks he was spinning and I fell in love. It has been a long journey but I have found so much healing in music. My main focus is to bring us queer poc to the front and amplify our voices.
