This time we are delighted to host Donald’s House.

After some experiments in the past, James, commonly known as @donalds_house, has implemented and spread his signature House sound mainly through Berlin and Amsterdam-based labels like Touch from a Distance, @fila-ment or @permvac. 

In his own words, this is a mix of new digs, and recent favs, recorded in his home studio in Thornbury, Melbourne!

Expect some proggy and proto fun tunes.

Welcome to the May instalment of the Atmospheric Existence show on 1BTN.FM, where this month we welcomed supreme selector and good friend Matt Pond with a special Deepsystems mix joining the show as our May guest.
Matt Pond is a man who understands that the gulf in hierarchy between DJs at the top and bottom of the food chain is as vast as it’s ever been. Despite or maybe because of this, Matt Pond is one of those guys who has picked substance over style: modest and demure in his demeanour, you only have to scratch the surface to realise he’s a seasoned professional who’s been in the business for decades. He’s a humble individual who sees past the glittery awards and their accompanying hubris and has stayed loyal to his loyal stalwarts of underground culture.

Matt created Deepsystems, a party, a radio show and a moniker, which has beamed out endless heartfelt sounds worldwide for many a year, weaving his own story that emits emotion, groove, funk and pure future soul. If you've not heard Matt's music before, i can only say that here is an individual
who will not settle for anything but the very best.
A DJ at the top of his game, with a unique deep style, that favours musicality and substance and in my eyes up there as one of the very best in the world, hands down.

This is the latest in a long line of accomplished outings from this prolific producer and, as always, it manages to subtly straddle different worlds. 'Do What U Feel' is vibey house with excitable drums and chords that get you wanting to move, then 'Get Away' sinks you into a sun-kissed Mediterranean house sound awash with breezy chords. 'Losing Respect' is darker, more gritty and dusty, then a Specter remix flips 'Get Away' into a timeless deep house jaunt with real Chicago roots.
