The first hour of my DJ set at Bleep43 on December 3rd was a tribute to Peter Christopherson, who died on November 25th.
I chose tracks that either featured his voice, or that I especially connected with him.

Many people have asked me about the set and if it was recorded, so I've decided to make it available.

Recorded at Corsica Studios, London, between 11pm and Midnight on December 3rd, 2010.

Blessed to invite Samira @sbm1987 as a guest for the new episode of Mothernism show. Samira Ben Messaoud works at art space Nest and is the owner of Bureau Convoi, a lobbying agency for cultural organizations. She is also a board member and resident at Operator radio. As a DJ, she usually comes back to a darker palette of melancholic electro and wave. ‘7 Ways Your Life Changes After Having a Baby’ is one of the articles that Samira relates to as a mother. “1. It’s no longer about you, 2. You will worry, all the time, 3. You will feel guilty, all the time, 4. Relationships change 5. Planning is everything, 6. 'Mommy Brain' is real and 7. It all makes sense, even when it doesn’t.” "That about sums it up, except that it doesn’t mention the immense ways in which your body changes, the feelings of eternal gratefulness, and the endless fatigue accompanying motherhood. I tried to find a place for all these different aspects as I was arranging this mix. I also wanted to acknowledge my privilege of being able to partake in this experience. I have become a mother to someone, while others may not be able to encounter the messy, beautiful world I am moving through." - Samira says. We're super geeked to welcome Ninasupsa aka Nina Bochorishvili to the SS series this week. This immensely talented DJ is one of the founders of Mutant Radio and a resident DJ at Bassiani/Horoom in Tbilisi. Together with an impressive team consisting of Tata and many other talented individuals, this forward-thinking crew bootstrapped an online station and grew this into one of the most prominent platforms in the scene. It's set up in a wagon and located at a former power station in Tbilisi, Georgia.

Lee Gamble is one of the most adventurous producers, label bosses and DJs in the electronic world. Over the course of four album projects and many EPs he has explored the ghost of jungle, abrasive ambient and textural techno in thrilling and compelling ways. Formerly releasing on Pan, he now heads up his own UIQ label and with it has curated some of techno’s most exciting new sounds. As well as DJing, he is behind a regular NTS radio show and tours a mesmeric live A/V show that always encourages you to escape and get lots in unfamiliar musical worlds. 

The two hour mix he serves up for is the freaky, left of centre post-rave adventure you would expect. It’s disorientating and non linear. Initially it focuses on texture and mood more than groove, then his jungle roots bubble up, and just as you think you know where you are going, Gamble pulls back and descends into bleak cinematic soundtracks. Unpredictable and wilfully contrary, like his own challenging productions it is a masterclass in sonic subversion that reveals more with each new listen.
