We are happy to have Balrog for our next podcast. Balrog is a neo-rave industrial techno producer and DJ from the UK.

Hailing from the Yorkshire Dales just outside of Leeds, Balrog has supplanted himself in the darker and grittier side of the genre with a focus on heavy unrelenting drums, driving bass and obscure distorted vocal. His tracks look back to the classic hard rave style but with a fresh injection of modern power. 2020 is shaping up to be his biggest year to date with huge releases lined up on labels such as The Meaning of Rave, Coup and Occult Rhythms. He has also just set up his own record label Khazad Records which will release music from the very best young industrial and hard techno talent in the UK and Europe.

"The digital data encoded in the file you are listening to was recorded in a squatted farmhouse in Brugge, Belgium. It stands as the last recording of our ill-fated tour of 2019. We performed to a handful of punks before there was an invasion of young people. It was also one of the few shows where we were able to play a longer set. As always the performance was improvised based on loops and sounds culled from our previously released records using various samplers and drum machines. We’d like to thank everyone for their assistance and encouragement since our inception in 2015. Here’s to many more years. Greased Love, Triames & Maiovvi."
