It’s hard to know where to start with an inimitable artist like Rings Around Saturn. Rory McPike’s expansive back catalogue demonstrates his unwavering commitment to creative exploration. With nearly a decade of releases under a cosmopolitan suite of aliases (Dan White, Bleekman, Cactus Head, Pickleman), Rory’s ability to compose such diverse sounds, at the highest of quality is truly profound.

From earth shattering bass, DnB and jungle to nostalgic, sun-drenched shoegaze and quite literally everything in between, Rory is a master of his analogue electronic craft. His forthcoming album ‘All Things Shining’ set for release on Best Effort Records showcases 10 forward thinking tracks that effortlessly incorporate uniquely, skittering synths, swirling ambience and crystalline, glistening electronica into an emotive and immersive package. This release looks back at new age ambient whilst propelling us into a futuristic world of contemporary IDM.

I had fun with this one, it was a nice challenge to get a bit outside of my comfort zone for a change. 
First time playing an opening set. 
First time playing 2 hours. 
First time playing through a thunder storm. 
The first hour is a bit more eclectic and downtempo while the second half picks up the energy.

Second Contact, NYC-based DJ & metalsmith, is inspired by blending a diverse set of sounds including acid, techno, extraterrestrial and dark soundscapes, progressive trance, and more. 

Before emerging as a DJ, he is a designer, self-taught metalsmith, and founder of a mix series, forge.fm, where he combines traditional metalworking techniques and sculpture to fabricate jewelry collaboratively to DJ mix submissions. He’s motivated by working with others and he’s driven by commitment to quality and timelessness.

Second Contact is inspired by those who know the rules well enough to break them. He's currently holding a residency at Honey Trap, the hottest party series in New York City.
