Jego przygoda z techno rozpoczęła na jednej z legendarnych imprez w klubie "Horyzont" na Cyplu Czerniakowskim w '92. W połowie lat 90-tych, dzięki płytom zakupionym podczas wakacyjnych wyjazdów do UK, zabrał się za organizację undergroundowych techno parties na Podlasiu - w rodzinnych Suwałkach, Ełku i Augustowie oraz grywał na pierwszych tego typu imprezach w Białymstoku. Występował wówczas jeszcze pod pseudonimem Dj Diesel. Był również jednym z pierwszych polskich Djów grających ambient - odpowiadał za chillout podczas imprez techno odbywających się w warszawskim klubie "Trend" w 90s. Niedługo potem, już jako Dj Koola, nawiązął współpracę z białostockim klubem "Metro", którego rezydentem pozostał przez ponad 20 lat, aż do zamknięcia klubu w 2019 r. Od kilku lat zapowiada przejście na didżejską emeryturę, lecz nie potrafi wyzbyć się nałogu kupowania płyt. Jego kolekcja liczy ponad 5 tysięcy winyli i nadal się powiększa. Obecnie mieszka w Pradze, gdzie ukonczyl Praską Szkołę FIlmową. 

Zdjecie pochodzi z jednej z pierwszych imprez techno w Białymstoku w klubie "Fama" w 96 r.

The 125th installment of the art:cast series comes in three parts and was recorded live at Torture the Artist's event at Luna Club, Kiel on November 26th, 2021. The webzine and Luna invited electronic music icon and Panoramabar-resident Iron Curtis for that occasion, who was musically accompanied by Torture the Artist head Holger Breuer and Luna mainstay Friz07. The sets come in the order the artists played that night but perfectly portray the artist's musical (current) preferences. Starting off with some proper (Deep) House tunes, it's Holger Breuer warming things up in the heat of the Luna basement for Johannes Paluka alias Iron Curtis, who guides the crowd through his musical  potpourri that varies between Rave, House, Acid or Techno before Friz07 comes in with a slight deep, tech and minimalistic vibe to round things off.
