Akanbi is the founder of one of the city's absolute best parties, Groovy Groovy (which is about to celebrate 10 years!), plus the more intimate, Rave Man presents. His style is on another level, one of those DJs that makes me go "how the hell did he think of that?!" and "shit, I need to practice more."

Recreational DJ starts fast and heavy in the first hour, then Akanbi brings the vibesss, a radio masterclass, in the second hour.

The Reign Set 280724

This album explores the ups and downs one might undergo during their life. Moments of intense feelings are contrasted with a general numbness. There are different manifestations of both of these states which are represented in the different songs. The end result is a state of introspection and a feeling of awareness. We are aware, all that is left to do is act.

Chronicity

This is my version of feeling hopeful. I like to overload my brain and hypnotize myself with my own music.
