@priori-ties is an alias of Montréal-based Québecois musician, Francis Latreille. In 2019, he released the thematic full length ‘On A Nimbus’ for his own label NAFF (which he runs with Ex-Terrestrial), showcasing the breadth and scope of his production. The more recent ‘SCN’ EP released on Canadian label DustWORLD, further strengthened his sound and showed the hypnotic potential of his music. Since then, he has kept exploring different avenues, releasing the uplifting trance single ‘Infinity’ and a series of thrillingly rugged tracks under his RED alias. 

Since its inception in 2018, NAFF's uncompromising releases have shown Latreille’s eccentrically-tuned ear for curation – this managed to land them in Mixmag's Best Labels of 2018 list. The young label shows no signs of stopping, having recently released a string of refreshing records by fellow Canadian artists Ambien Baby, URA & Maara. 

Known to be an avid collaborator, Latreille is involved in a number of projects including Jump Source, M.S.L., New World Science, Healion, ANF and more. His knack for textural sounds and his technical proficiency in the studio have led him to work on numerous projects by fellow artists (Ex-Terrestrial, Roza Terenzi, D. Tiffany, Escape Artist, Gene Tellem, to name a few). Whether live or as a DJ, Priori brings a uniquely hypnotic sound that sustains a dance floor while creating an atmosphere informed by the worlds of science fiction and fantasy that are so dear to him.

Today we share with you Module One's perception of Far Blue. Besides putting together very thoughtful mixes, Module One is a stellar producer as well. To build his own very personal story, he decided to go all original on his one hour long Far Blue concept titled 'Lost in Translation'. 

"The title of the mix is inspired by the linguistic phenomenon of losing or changing the context due to differences in languages and cultures, but for me that metaphorically relates to music where every listener has an individual perception and is able to hear the things the others cannot."

Leoht is a DJ and promoter based in Pilsen, Czech Republic where he runs his his Eclectica parties and is resident at the forward-thinking local venue ᴍōōᴠᴇᴍᴇɴᴛ. His encyclopaedic knowledge of music, patient approach to curation of his mixes and impeccable sound-weaving powers have earned him respect in many diverse corners the local scene 🌝🌚

This mix is a gently flowing current of emotion with powerful thread of the spiritual and the ethnic within the realm of electronic music. Commencing with ambient sounds hinting at the elements of Earth and Water, it patiently evolves into low slung vortexes of airy, then fiery trancey electronica and deep techno before winding back down towards soothing downtempo to conclude ✨

Boaksi - A New Direction / Dovetail (Soela Remix) [Project Indigo]

Recommended by Marie Pravda for EAV's MFI series, this mix by LEOHT walks a very fine line between oneiric Ambient, Acid and Electro. 

With @dj-leoht's fantastic mix, @Ecoutesauvert is glad to continue, after ace contributions by Marie Pravda @yomomsmokescrack, Kosmic Skaut @lost_and_explore and @obraz, the fruitful Czechia connection in our Music for Indoors guest mix series. ✨

Leoht doesn't live in Prague or Brno, but in Pilsen (near the German border), where he organizes events to which he invited Marie Pravda and Kosmic Skaut to play at.

Leoht has gone through multiple genres after almost 10 years behind the decks, but has always been loyal to the endless field of electronic music. 

He says: "The perception of DJing has dramatically changed for me in recent years and I am pretty sure this ain’t the final stop. Mixing music is an additional language I use to communicate with people and it develops my inner creativity. With music I write a story that has a clearly defined beginning, course and end, each time it's a unique expression of myself. I have a soft spot for DJs who are confident in their natural development which has perfected such ability." 

Regarding the mix he adds: "There is a thin line between music for dancing and listening, with this mix I wanted to give the listeners the choice to choose. I looked for to conceive a deep journey where you can shut off the outside world and focus on what's happening inside of you."

Born in Tokyo, Japan, @akirakosemura began playing the piano at 3-years old. 28 years later, he’s a self-taught composer and arranger who has released nearly a dozen solo and collaborative albums of contemplative, minimalist piano work. Drawing inspiration from film scores, he writes and records albums in the style of a soundtrack composer: ambient and acoustic sentiments of classical composition, what he describes as a way to “imagine, but not imagine, to find something beautiful in my mind.” Since 2007, he’s also been running his own label, Schole, to release his own music and the music of like-minded composers who he’s found online. Born of a relationship with the Australian artist Lawrence English, who started his Someone Good label to release Akira’s first album, It’s On Everything, the Schole label is deeply connected to Akira’s compositional mind-set. “The living world is always connected to composing music,” Akira says. “All living things are saving in my mind deeply. Composing music is not special thing for me - it’s something obvious, like breathing, crying and smiling.” For his Choice Mix, Akira Kosemura has woven together one hour of gentle piano compositions by himself and others.

Loose Excursions are the production and DJ duo of @genetellem and Gabriel Reichhold, two Montréal-based artists who run a bi-weekly Sunday show on local online radio station, n10.as. Their interests lie in the more oblique axis of techno music, and for their Choice Mix, they’ve recorded a one-hour long live improvisational hardware jam that orbits this techno axis. With delicate vocalisations and alluring analog strains, they build up the world of Loose Excursions, loop by loop.
