An irrelevant question makes you realise, one day, that everyone you know has build a "persona" of you in their mind, a simulacrum in their own version of the world covering maybe one facet of you, maybe none or maybe one hundred thousand. As the perception of your own self fades and slowly blends with the idea of you others have constructed in their psyche, you struggle to recognise yourself in the mirror. Then you wake up, sweaty, in your bed: it was all a bad dream.
