O projeto SUBMUNDO 808 chega aqui no Youtube para expressar o clima das nossas festas através de SETs de DJs que serão gravados em todas as nossas edições.

Nessa edição, apresentamos Gaia ou DJ BASSAN, multi-artista, DJ, Beatmaker e produtora cultural, integrante do coletivo @houseofmutatis. 

Bassan iniciou seus estudos de produção musical na pandemia e tem tido certo destaque após participar de V.A.s como Vitamina T e BIXA D-III Cabeças, suas tracks “ai que gostoso” e “rAvE oVeR” reverberam até hoje nas pick-ups ao redor do mundo.

Seu EP “WELCOME TO BRAZIL” serviu de trilha sonora para publicidades nacionais, compondo campanhas da Avon no mês da mulher. No mês do Orgulho LGBTQIAP+ em Junho de 2022, assinou uma trilha sonora autoral para as campanhas #Pride do Youtube Shorts, com participação de EVEHIVE, Zaila, Linn da Quebrada e Gloria Groove.

Artista de Soundcloud, empreendedora no Bandcamp e amante do FL Studio, já gravou 10 mixes para Rádios como Veneno.live, TheLotRadio.NY, Function.fm e LapaRadio55. 
Também compôs line-ups de de festivais e pistas renomadas como COALA Festival, MAMBA NEGRA (SP), BICUDA (CAMP), BRASA (FLN), TTt Collective (POA), MiniMECA Festival (SP) e Baile em Chernobyl (SP/Berlin). Recentemente gravou uma apresentação para o Boiler Room x LIMITROFE TELEVISION, que foi lançado no segundo semestre de 2022, em Londres.

Vivenciando Cultura Ballroom há 4 anos, desenvolve sua proposta audiovisual através do Voguing e suas categorias. Já suas referências musicais e DJ Sets variam entre Funk Automotivo, Vogue Beats, Club Music e Hard Techno.

O projeto SUBMUNDO 808 aqui no Youtube expressa o clima das festas do grupo 808 em Campinas através de DJs SETs que são gravados em todas as edições.

Nesta edição, apresentamos Caio Prince, DJ & Produtor musical Nascido no Jardim Miriam, periferia da zona sul de São Paulo.  
Em seus shows, Prince explora a musicalidade eletrônica periférica, tendo o Funk como seu gênero chave, carregando curadorias únicas com batidas altas, dançantes e agressivas, atualmente conhecido como Bruxaria. Em sua trajetória, Caio Prince passa por alguns dos principais Bailes Funks de São Paulo: Baile da DZ7, Bega, Helipa e Rua do Meio (na Baixada Santista). Além de marcar presença em inúmeras festas da cena underground, transitando pela capital paulistana, interior de São Paulo, Baixada Santista, Rio de Janeiro, Belo Horizonte, Salvador, Curitiba, Florianópolis e outras diversas cidades do Brasil.
Em 2023, o artista ganhou grande destaque em seus sets e músicas disponíveis nas plataformas de streaming, principalmente no Soundcloud, onde obteve grande alcance com sets que foram sucesso entre o público. Além de brilhar no Lollapalooza, um dos maiores festivais realizados no Brasil, o DJ teve a oportunidade de realizar sua primeira Euro Tour, partindo da periferia paulistana para disseminar música eletrônica periférica em outro continente, passando pela França, Alemanha e Portugal.
Além de ser DJ, Caio é produtor musical e possui algumas faixas em parceria com outros artistas influentes da cena, como Mu540, Mc Luanna, DJ Dayeh, Bonekinha Iraquiana, Adame DJ, Sykors, Clementaum, DJ Thiago Martins, entre outros. Caio também é um dos produtores do coletivo @_pankas, um movimento negro dedicado a pessoas LGBTQIA+ da periferia! 
O ideal de Prince é levar o Funk para o maior número de lugares possível, mostrando que pessoas negras, LGBTQIA+ da favela, podem e devem ocupar todos os tipos de espaços, difundindo arte e cultura e sustentando-se através disso.

Journalist, ethnomusicologist, and DJ, Maïa wears many hats as long as the topic is music. He is one of the curators of FUNK.BR - São Paulo, a project that reflects his decade-long work with baile funk artists from his hometown, whether he's writing for media outlets like The Guardian or Rolling Stone, DJing, or researching the paredões sound systems. 

For this special series, Maïa has curated an overarching selection of baile funk, fleshing out the early years of this music genre and its various iterations. It's a 90-minute journey through the baile funk world, interspersed with informative drops that help the listener understand more about this music, which is not just a genre but an idiom.

One of the most skilled baile funk DJs of her generation, Dayeh knows her way around the decks like few others. Seeing her perform is like being hit by a train-load of São Paulo's most dizzying, otherworldly funk beats. She might not be that tall, but once she takes the stage, she unleashes a giant set of skills that make mandelão sounds even more futuristic. 

In this mix, Dayeh managed to meld together a wide range of São Paulo baile funk, but she kept her focus on the sounds of the city's south side, with aggression and spellbinding rhythms leading the way.
