Underrated and understated, sweet, sincere, screwball selector DJ Furniture explores the elusive edges of dance music, teasing new meaning and rhythmic contexts from unlikely places. This PA/NY nomad finds the energy of the rave in the sustained melancholic breaths of time-stretched vocals, laptop screen glow, flipped and chopped and screwed pop music sensibilities, and cerebral subwoofer slurping sound structures. A crafty person who works with their hands (the "furniture" namesake stems, in part, from time spent doing woodwork), the calm, creative, can-do attitude of rolling one's sleeves up and making it work with the familiar tools on hand is DJ Furniture's calling card.
