_It’s a mix of tracks that I’ve been drawn to, listened to on repeat, and played in DJ sets since I started my transition in December 2023. The tracks reflect the inner peace I’ve found since coming into acceptance of myself fully. It’s also a reflection of how trans womanhood has allowed me to feel and regulate my emotions on a deeper level than I ever have before - with regards to my life and the current climate that we’ve been living through. Saint Hildegard von Bingen who was an abbess, mystic and composer, spent most of her 80 years shut away in isolation, in an obscure hilltop monastery in the Rhineland. The songs she composed came to her in mystic visions, which she wrote for her nuns to sing at their devotions. Juntamente com sua carreira no rádio, Sara também está provê música em clubes/bares italianos e europeus.

Para Alter Disco: "eu fiz uma seleção de música mundial orientada para os anos 80, alternando entre diferentes gêneros: do funk / pop brasileiro ao reggae japonês, produções sul-africanas e sons latinos, tudo que eu geralmente amo tocar nos shows!"

Sara Mautone, formerly fashion photographer, cultivates her passion for music since ever, which brings her to start her radio sessions in 2018, focusing on world and balearic music. 

Her shows have been first featured on the Milano based Radio Raheem and lately by Le Mellotron and Rinse in Paris. She is also a passionate vinyl collector specialized in Brazilian, African and Japanese productions from the 70’s and 80’s. 

Together as her radio career, Sara is also selecting music in Italian and European clubs/listening bars. 

For Alter Disco: " I made an 80’s oriented worldwide music selection switching through different genres: from Brazilian funk/pop to Japanese reggae, South African productions and Latin sounds, everything I usually love to play at the gigs!"
