Bouffant Bouffant is a DJ, Producer, and party starter from New Orleans, Louisiana. He cut his teeth in local sex clubs, warehouses, and dive bars but has become a major player on the bubbling American Queer Underground nightlife circuit as well as International jaunts to play for the likes of Buttons Berlin and Savage Hanoi. His monthly party Gimme A Reason has been fostering space for queer nightlife in New Orleans for over 9 years. He’s also 1/3 of queer and women lead DJ collective Trax Only and 1/2 of DJ duo Babygirl. Trax Only have become infamous for their one off warehouse raves that expose New Orleans to a plethora of national and international queer talent as well as their compilation SOFT TOUCH EXPRESS, a survey of producers from the American Queer Underground.

"A couple weeks ago I played the first Buttons party in Berlin with zero Covid restrictions at a beautiful new venue in Treptower Park. This mix is the first hour of that set. It was sunrise and the sun peaked through floor to ceiling windows of a gorgeous ballroom packed with the most beautiful queer babes. It was one of the most special sets of my life and one of the best parties I've ever attended. I wanted to stamp that moment in time with this mix."

After 4 months off the airwaves, I recently made it back to NTS to resume my bi monthly slot. I played a lot of records I found on my travels in Japan at the start of the year and was joined by Gideön who did a guestmix for the second hour of the show and it was quite frankly amazing, pure deep vinyl cuts. 

@gideon-block9 is one half of Block9 who amongst other things operates the world famous Block9 Field and NYC Downlow at Glastonbury. He is also an avid record collector and has been collecting records for 25 years. For the show he dug deep in to his collection of Northern Soul, Roots Reggae, Vintage Gospel and Rare Groove.
