Dream Weapons present: SEVEN SUTRAS C60 ☾

Art has its triptychs, religion has its trinities and Prabha Devi has finally finished the unholy collection of three Sevens. In the very early days of Dream Weapons, Seven Daemons was released. Seven Rays came along a little later, and now finally the penultimate chapter is complete: Seven Sutras.

Though a Sutra is more of poetic roots, the name sounded evocative and fit with the overall theme of "exotic oriental" that runs through the spine of the mix, delving sideways into some Brazilian girl groups and even Mauritius rock. Largely instrumental, but collected to be listened to as a whole album, turn it on during an extra dull winter day and let it brighten up the living room for an hour at least -Prabha Devi

Unearthing rare and vibrant cassette recordings from the 1970s to the 2010s, they explore the sounds of dabke, shaabi, classical and beyond. Through collaboration with Syrian communities globally, SCA documents sounds and memories of a musical history that cannot be overlooked and should not be forgotten.

The Funambulist's 59th issue (March-April 2025) is dedicated to Palestinian Return, which led to two collaborations with friends: the exhibition d'abord les fraises, ensuite les fleurs at FORDE in Geneva, and the hosting of this podcast, Architecture of Repair on our plateform. This podcast deliberately makes bridges with our issue, inviting some its contributors Dima Srouji, Areej Ashhab, Mahar Musleh, and Lobna Sana, as well as Mohammed Al Hawajri, Mona AlMsaddar, and Khalid Dader to provide their perspective on the question of Repair, in a similar way we asked our contributors about Return.

Architecture of Repair in Palestine is a nomadic forum that brings together architects, conservators, artists, community members, activists and academics to discuss, imagine and elaborate visions of repair for the liberation of Palestine. To help us attune to a language, we have asked a number of Palestinians to share with us their reflections in the form of a monologue that anchors and captures the stream of consciousness of this present moment as they attend to the question: What does repair mean amid genocide and mass destruction? And, is it even still a possibility?

We’re super proud to welcome Rachel. this month — the protagonist of the 22nd episode of crying is softer than you think on Noods Radio.

Rachel., also known as Nicolas Jean-Jean, is a close friend who recorded Paturia in 2024 and is also known for running the label Run Level. He’s a musician and a person who inspires us deeply — not only through his talent but also through his kindness.

His latest album, released recently, reveals a singular musical vision — borrowing from ambient, glitch, hardcore, and other deconstructed genres. It blends elements that are at times obvious, at times more subtle, into a sound that is raw and condensed, yet remains poetic and sensitive.

This mix, much like his personality, is full of gentleness — perhaps tinged with a vision of discomfort that feels healing, even cathartic. It plunges us into a kind of melancholic adolescence, where neo-rock, ambient, glitch, and trip-hop collide to tell the story of a youth now gone.

Feloneezy slinks into the Appendix.files fold with Unlimited Peace — a glistening 5-track transmission. It's peaceful, yes — but only in the way a loading screen might be.

Clocking in at around 21 minutes, Unlimited Peace hovers in that strange zone between comfort and collapse. Žarko Komar constructs lush, slow-moving forms that seem to promise clarity, only to blur the edges just before arrival. Dub-wise atmospheres curl into ambient smog, vaporous tones smudge over faded rhythms — it’s music that soothes and unsettles in the same breath.

The title’s utopian ring is no accident — Feloneezy gently excavates the faint optimism of the online, not to critique but to drift into an ambivalence that feels current, lingering like a tab you forgot to close.

Written and produced by Žarko Komar in Belgrade, the EP is mastered by Ike Zwanikken with artwork by Amos Turner. As with all entries in the APPX:EP lineage, Unlimited Peace arrives digitally and as a limited lathe-cut edition of 20 — tactile signals in a sea of disappearing content.
