Hashman Deejay stands out as one of those DJ's and producers where he lets the music do the talking. Like fellow collaborators PLO Man & C3D-E you won't see many interviews, let alone photos - they show up to the party and do their thing. 
With a vast range of alias' and collaborative projects Hashman has been responsible for some of the rawest sounds in experimental, breaks, house and techno. As well as a DJ his vast taste can expand anywhere from shoegaze and punk, disco and raw chicago sounds, to dubbed acid and techno. 
For this mix the selector has dug deep into the tape hiss sounding crates covering oldschool beats that could be mistaken for an OG Ras G tape, dub flowing onwards into some select acid house and more synth focused club sounds all working together with the most seamless touch. We had a very brief chat with Hashman about his mix but this one is all about the sounds and he lets that do the talking.

Welcoming back Personal Space with a very special mix from dear friend and musical mind Karl Halliday. Recorded in the backyard of Joseph Street in April '25 amongst close friends. Karl sets the mood below a grey humid sky unearthing some of his favourite new-wave, post-punk, ebm & industrial leaning records from his collection. Karl weaves together a soundscape of emotive sounds & vulnerability, drawing connections to moments shared with friends & moments of inwards musical discovery. 

"When asked to reflect on my relationship with music, my initial impulse is to celebrate how I owe my dearest, most enduring friendships to a harmonious love of song and dance. We're none too fond of terms like 'selector' here at the figurative 12th Isle HQ. We think it was a shrewd marketing ploy concocted by natural wine bar owners - and possibly the freemasons - who repackaged the spergy single-mindedness of record nerds into something that sounded much more socially agile and cool in order to distract punters from the exorbitant price of nibbles. Thankfully, the time of white label soundtracked £40 sashimi seems to be behind us, and DJing can go back to being obsessives playing odd music made by even odder folk without much in the way of pretence. Someone who encapsulates that kind of energy has very kindly put together a nearly 4 hour long sprawl and has stated that under no circumstances should this mix be enjoyed alongside thinly sliced bits of raw beef and wine with bits in it or there will be hell to pay. Floor Length Skirts for Forecast 79, it's good gear like.
