Last November, I had the pleasure of playing the second edition of Club Citrus in Tottenham's Unit 58.

This was my first time opening a club—a slot that usually allows for constructing a weirder atmosphere. That kind of freedom was something I’d always wanted to explore.

As it turned out, I ended up having a rough bout of food poisoning the night before and, despite my better judgement, felt determined to play anyway. Subconsciously, I think this energy translated into a fairly spooky and delirious set—one that begins as a soundtrack to an empty club, before slowly opening up into something more graspable as dancers gradually filed in.

It's a testament to my hosts Lucas and Henry that I managed to have such a lovely time in spite of fighting nausea my whole set. Thank you so much for inviting me to play and looking after me just the right amount :-)

So anyway, here's that opening hour. There are so many peak-time mixes out there, I figured something a little earlier in the night might scratch a different itch.
