Soulful Playground was created by veteran hip-hop music producer & artist, Chris Vermillion. Producing tracks featuring Moka Only, Finale, Bonecrusher, Lil' Jon, T-Max the Novelist, and other notable artists as well as providing music for MTV, ESPN, YES Network, and other TV shows, Chris Vermillion has enjoyed an eclectic career to this point.

Drawing from his vast experiences, Chris put together Soulful Playground as the stage to present his unique combination of music, stories, and art. In 2018 Chris released a series of projects under his other production alias "A Beautiful Ordinary." This collection highlighted his love for music, photography, and design including his first shoe release.

As a producer I try as much as possible to only use present instruments or samples I've made. Lyrics beat's and such I want it to be my sound. Worked  following a break up I became withdrawn and music was my outlet. When I finally emerged from my depression cocoon I met someone . She basically made me not only show but want to show the world what I had been cooking up. It's gunna get spicey.

Sample based producer. Boombap is my bread and butter but I dabble in soulful/ atmospheric stuff every so often.

Making beats since 2010, his main influences are 90s Boom Bap Hip-Hop which is considered as the « Golden Area » but also Jazz, Bossa, Soul, Funk, Disco, et cetera. He worked with many labels such as HHV Records, Vinyl Digital, Chill Select and Hip Dozer and many artists such as Parental, Loop.holes, Illa J, A-F-R-O, Kev Brown, Ill Conscious and many more.
