Therealmapa is quickly cementing himself as a respected beat architect within Atlanta’s music scene.  With a diverse array of sounds inspired by Hip-Hop, Trap music, Afrobeat, and R&B, the 14-year-old budding music producer creates sonic journeys that are equal parts melodic and energetic—a stark contrast to his very calm, impassive demeanor.

Growing up in a musical family, Therealmapa began learning production at seven. He now regularly dominates the Iron Fist Cookup, a producer showcase held at Stankonia Recording Studios. There, beat makers play their tracks for a panel of judges who give feedback and advice to participants.

The world got its first glimpse of Therealmapa in a similar showcase on Bolo the Producer’s YouTube channel and he was recently featured on CBS46 Atlanta with Reaching Early Creatives, a non-profit music education camp for teens that regards itself as “the AAU of the music industry.”

His track Skanka has taken the world by storm and was arguably one of the biggest Dubstep tracks of 2022, with DJ Mag writing '‘Skanka’ has already proven its staying power and firmly cemented its place as a modern classic.' Hamdi has also become known for his energetic DJ sets that have already taken him to India, Australia and the United States. As 3000 Blog wrote, ‘there really aren’t many who are keeping pace with Hamdi, as he tends to fly from deck to deck, pulling the audience from left to right in a seriously thrilled multi-genre ride.’ With releases on labels such as Bassrush, Deadbeats, and Vision Recordings already under his belt, it's safe to say the future is bright for Hamdi.
