For the 12th chapter of Terra Sonus, Blind Observatory leads a way to the Lake Taifu-Ikka - rather an idea, a mind construct than a place itself.

''One of the biggest joys for me when it comes to DJing is the actual preparation. Envisioning the situation in advance and laying out a colour palette of sounds that I would like to paint a picture with. However, on my last journey to Japan this became a very complicated task as a typhoon was laying over the festival site soaking everything in uncertainty. 

The night before my set I was sitting in my room, flipping through notebooks filled with playlists, desperately trying to find the right moves and account for every outcome. Like a Chess player calculating all possible continuations but none of them win. It was only when I realised and accepted that it is out my hands and I’ll have to trust my intuition, that I could find some peace of mind. 

I remember arriving at the stage thinking that even in rain on such a grey day everything feels so serene and calm. To my surprise, the clouds broke right before my play-time, leaving the sky bright blue. Funnily I had prepared for this exact possibility, nonetheless I played a completely different set. This time, it seemed, the situation had painted a picture of me.

Someone told me 台風一過 (Taifu-Ikka) is the Japanese expression describing this clear blue sky after a typhoon has passed. I thought a lot about it throughout the past year when I spent some time near a lake and would go for a swim in the early morning hours as often as I could. It had a very similar effect on me. So, “Lake Taifu-Ikka” is less of an actual place than it is an idea, a mind construct. A ritual of sorts, that helps me to move some clouds and clear up my mind. This set is an attempt to recreate this sensation. ''

Diapasøn, a passionate and versatile artist, has shown a deep interest in music and playing instruments of all kinds since a young age. It was in 2012 that he fully immersed himself in the world of electronic music, a means for him to fully express his passion for contemporary influences.

In 2015, he founded Cosmic Wave, initially as a collective, quickly evolving into a label which he has co-managed since 2017. A lover of vinyl, he crafts a unique sonic universe, navigating between ambient and psychedelic techno. His captivating music creates soundscapes filled with emotion and entrancing textures.

Since his debut on stage, Diapasøn has had the opportunity to play alongside many artists such as Claudio PRC, Christian Wünsch, Deniro, Benjamin Damage, Skudge, Blazej Malinowski, Polygonia, Lenson, and many others. All these performances have inspired him and contributed to shaping his artistic identity.

Samwise is an LA (and sometimes London) based selector / DJ and eternal raver. Widely known as an impactful A&R across the dance music world, he is the force behind the multifaceted house-focused imprint Higher Ground, and has an A&R discography including work for DJ Tennis and his seminal label Life and Death, alongside a wide range of artists across the underground and commercial music spectrum. Additionally, he is co-founder and resident at Fast At Work, a forward-thinking party series and label that champions fast – but not necessarily hard – electronic music. While his sets are diverse and unapologetically raw, his sound cohesively elevates strong foundational grooves with deep emotional textures.
