Some of you will be familiar with this tune, and indeed it has been modified to include a bit of audio which was the basis of the theme. This bit of audio is the original recording of Stephen around 1982. I had looked for that recording for decades to be included just before the start off this song. Also, most recently I had redoubled my effort to find it to play for my beautiful wife as  she lay on her death bed. But, alas, I was only to find it the very day after her passing.

As you might imagine, the old cassette tape was full of hiss. So, my good friend and mentor, Sander (https://soundcloud.com/wane-of-summer), volunteered to help subtract that flaw and render Stephen's little voice to crystal clarity. Well, that is very much part of Sander's trademark. Thank you, Sander.

This is a song from a child which has no voice of his own. Having succumbed to the side effects of a childhood vaccination, he was never able to learn the spoken word...though through some miracle he seems to have developed perfect pitch. 

How would I know? Well, if I pick up various objects which can make a tone if they are blown into, though he may have heard it only once before, he will sometimes sing the note as it is being picked up. Blow into that object and, sure enough, he is in tune with it.

He was only about 3 years old when we were trying in vain to get him to speak into a tape recorder. Instead, he came up with this tune, which I decided to just add accompaniment. The original recording actually had his voice on it, but it has been lost over the years.

In the happy moments of my life I like to compose more emotional songs! But the song has its mistakes since I am self-taught! But to tell the truth there are more moments of anguish than happiness! All because of my health problem and because of things in Argentina, that is to say the government is not handling well with the policies that take away more rights from workers and the disabled. I am one of the latter since I suffer from schizophrenia and it is very difficult to live in my country! I hope that this government never cancels the free medication because first it is very expensive and then you will not be able to pay for it, but I always find a way for everything! Today was a positive day and I am quite happy even though we are in summer and the heat is oppressive!

  Well folks, it's that time of year again. It's time for the Eclectic Collective to take stock of the fruits of the year previous, and reflect on what making music together means to all of us. We hope you all take a chunk of time and indulge in our gift to you. We wanted to address every one of our SoundCloud friends with our voices as an intimate way to connect with each of you.
  This has become a tradition within the EC now that we've made it to our second (and a half) year of making music together. For the second time, JJ asked our friend and sometimes collaborator Jeff (Stonerjazz) to ask some interview questions of us. Then, we all came up with the answers and sent them to JJ to assemble the project.
  This mighty music machine we've created, that manages to release a new song every Friday, wouldn't mean anything if no one was listening to us. Which is why we want to extend our very sincere thanks to you for tuning in and supporting our efforts. If one other person gets joy from our music, that's such a huge accomplishment. However, it really feels like a bunch of people whom we really respect are digging what we're doing, which feels truly humbling and fulfilling.
