people r always curious y artists choose their name? well...

so many times when meeting someone in a loud environment they would hear my name wrong and say 'Ken?' and i would reply 'no. Kent, with a t.' and very often they say 'oh like Kent State?' and the only thing anyone knows about Kent State is that the national guard shot some students in the 60s. yuck, so i would reply 'no, like clark Kent...but yeah its spelled same.' 

later while following rabbit holes through wikipedia, i read that the creators of Superman were jewish and in hebrew 'El' means God, its common in hebrew names. and 'Kol' (as its pronounced in the movies) means 'the word' or logos. like star wars and the matrix the creators of Superman made a character based on the hero archetype, cleverly hidden like an easter egg.

its interesting that only a few people however knew Supermans name. when he wore glasses people called him by his alias clark Kent. but most people just called him Superman. Superman is the english translation of the german word Übermensch. which is a word coined by nietzsche to represent the concept of 'the goal for humanity to set for itself.' an eschatological end point for humanity that pulls us forward through evolution.

i said to myself aloud 'wow thats interesting!...theres prolly a bunch of good material to sample from for songs too.' 

and thats the origin story for why i chose the name 'KAL-EL the Übermensch'
