Mayan Warrior is the result of a collaborative project that has united artists, craftsmen, photographers, designers, technologists, architects and musicians from Mexico City and Northern California. 

The project’s original intent was to present to the world the incredible ascent of contemporary Mexican electronic music while paying respect to the deep and ancient sources from which that visual and auditory culture had grown.


Both light and sound are curated by some of the world’s most prominent artists to transport participants to the very origins of the culture – and to a new understanding of contemporary electronic expression.

AND YES: Mayan Warrior is driven from Mexico City to the playa – and back – each year. It's a labor of love and we're glad so many people enjoy it.

The Live Awake podcast helps bring you back to your grounded center through reflection and guided meditation. 

This podcast lends a new outlook to some of life's hard landscape. Perspective is everything, and by choosing to live awake to all that blooms in front of us we begin to live a more empowered life where joy becomes our natural state of being rather than something we occasionally stumble upon.  Through living awake we become conscious participants in our life’s unfolding.

At the end of each episode you will be guided through a short meditation on the topic at hand to help loosen the spots we can feel victim to. By doing this we come to understand we can choose not our usual, painful unconscious habits but instead to live from a place of grounded awareness, free from suffering.  

Live awake is for all those devoted to their hearts, devoted to the soul behind their ribs that came here to grow and expand, to all those devoted to learning, respecting and honoring the ways they are being called to do so. 

It is a place where one can come to close their eyes and rest a while on their breath, and see all they trouble and toil alongside is truly a gold lined cloud, holding a message of great hope and learning cradled within it.


Shaman Omar
Also known as "The Urban Shaman" Omar is an Ayahuasquero, Mystic, Shaman, Speaker, Teacher and Activist.  He is recognized as a world-class Native American flutist who released his first studio recording "The Awakening: A Shamanic Journey" a work that  features various Shamanic Flutes from around in 2018.
His next release "Icaros: Sacred Sounds in Ceremony" will be released in December of 2018.

He is the Director of Speakers at the Universal TheoGnostic Society, an International Non-Profit Civil Society dedicated to Ancient Shamanic Mysticism.

He travels the world speaking on behalf of Humanity, Spirituality, and Ancient Mysticism including Shamanic “Tools of Divination” that include ancient meditation techniques and plant- based medicines that have been used by the Mystics and Sages of all ages. 

Omar’s book, “Journey In Spirit: The Art of Awakening” is scheduled to be released in early 2019.

Shaman Omar teaches in Miami, NYC, and Los Angeles Monthly, offerings talks, meditation, shamanic breath and sacred ceremonial works.

Born and raised in Cape Town residing in Dubai. Growing up on a varied diet House grooves, He is fun loving and charasmatic, it is difficult to put him in a box.  Musically he is renowned for the uniquely, contagious sound he creates for the dance floor. Seeing him behind the decks, he tells his own story with the music, taking you on a journey everytime.

Quinton has fulfilled Dubai residencies at Afterlights, Esc and Cubic.  In addition to playing at a range of parties such as Deep Like, Plus Minus,Analog Room, Desert Dreams, Deep Tribe and Stereo Club Nights on a regular basis.

He has shared the stage with many major well-known international artists such as Christian Loffler, Tiger Skin, Adam Shelton, Teenage Mutants, Christian Burkhardt, Betoko, Nico Stojan, Andre Hommen, Maurice Aymard, Lance Morgan, Holt Blackheath and Giorgio Maulini(Djebali/Rawax). 

Quinton is definitely an artist to follow closely, playing international gigs such as Off Sonar Barcelona,Vietnam-Mirage,Ibiza Live Radio in the playa, Cape Town, Warped Ibiza Global Radio, Analog Room Dubai and Sydney Australia this is only the beginning of a long series for this upcoming musician.
