A collection of songs, instrumentals and orchestral pieces charting my adventures in home studio recording and production.  All original compositions using voice, acoustic and electric guitar (sometimes using altered tunings), bouzouki, low and high whistles and MIDI instrumentation. 

I'm also using VST instrumentation to create classical compositions and integrating orchestral sounds into my songs and instrumentals.

Hull based funky folk singer songwriter John Cox - groove based acoustic guitar playing is at the core of his songs, and his unique chords provide him with a very distinctive style. Early influences were the strange folk of Bowie and the weird funk of Talking Heads. His sound is dark and soulful with hooky melodies and poetic lyrics.

With the aim of promoting more guitar based instrumentals, progressive rock styles, multi instrumentals, folk, classical, ambient and a wider mix of genre, Guitarists and their different sound and technique, enjoying their music and keeping the producers creativity alive.. here's to all the great musicians on Soundcloud that deserve more exposure and support.

I produce mostly original instrumental guitar tracks. a few covers & tributes, and involved in the odd collaboration.
