Episode 3 - The Inspiring Story of Ms Leona Cegbe

Hey everyone! Here is the fifth and final track of my twenty one pilots fan edit EP Another Attempt to Make the Voices Stop. For the final track, I decided to make a Berlin jazz club edit of The Hype. Berlin is in reference to the location sessions version of this song which is what I used for this song. I did a double experiment for this project since I wanted to end this project on a high note. The first was making a jazz edit. Yeah yeah, jazz is dead. It doesn’t matter. I still have a high respect and love for the genre and took my chance with it. Now the second experiment and risk I took was that not only did I want this to be a jazz edit, I wanted to give the allusion of this song being played at a jazz club. I felt that it would give the song more life if it felt like it was being played at a location. This is definitely a risky move I pulled. You guys be the judge of if it paid off. If you’re here because you listened to the whole EP, thank you so much for the support. I will keep projects coming forward. I will definitely have more projects out this year than last year. Hey everyone! This is track three of my Another Attempt to Make the Voices Stop twenty one pilots fan edit EP. This is a future bass edit of the song Smithereens off of their Trench album. Future bass has always been a genre I’ve wanted to experiment with, so I was glad to do it here. This was actually a project I made for a friend that I decided to release here. I feel really proud of this project. I hope I don’t sound full of myself, but part of me prefers this version over the original if we’re talking about style. You guys will probably disagree, but hopefully you still enjoy the track. Take care everyone!

Smithereens (Future Bass Edit) - Originally by twenty one pilots

Hey everyone! Here is track two of my twenty one pilots edit EP. This is a chillstep edit of Tear in My Heart off of their Blurryface album. I know there are two things you might be thinking before and after hearing it.The first is you confused about me making something into a genre that is considered dead. The second is after listening that it doesn’t exactly feel like a chillstep song. As a fan of dubstep, I will admit that the genre has passed its peak and will probably remain an underground EDM genre from now on. That doesn’t mean however that I still don’t really enjoy the genre and the artists who helped push it. I also know that if you ever listened to a chillstep song, this song may not qualify for it. I wanted to experiment the genre. I wanted the bass to stand out in dubstep fashion, but not overbear the whole song. I also wanted to create that chill vibe by adding in strings that also don’t overbear. I definitely wanted to add on to the concept of dubstep, and by dubstep, I meant the more relaxing bass style of dubstep rather than the heavy Skrillex style of dubstep which is known as brostep (which I also enjoy. That wasn’t any sort of attack on the subgenre). This might not be for everyone, but hopefully some of you enjoy it. Take care everyone!

Tear in My Heart (Chillstep Edit) - Originally by twenty one pilots

Hey everyone! Here’s this new project I have for you guys. I have this EP that contains edits of twenty one pilots songs. This is more of a producing project rather than a mashup project. This doesn’t mean I’m not going to make any more mashups, in fact, I have some more yet to come. I just want to show you guys what else I can do as an artist. Without further ado, here is Another Attempt to Make the Voices stop.

This is track one of the EP. It is an orchestral edit of Addict with a Pen. This is probably my favorite song off of their self titled record, and I wanted to experiment making orchestral music. I know the percussion might not sound so great, but I did what I could. I am doing my best to get better. I also know that it might not be mastered properly which can be said for this entire EP, but I am still learning. I hope you all enjoy it and check out the rest of the EP. Take care everyone!
