"(Don't Fear) The Reaper" is a song by American rock band Blue Öyster Cult from the band's 1976 album Agents of Fortune. The song, written and sung by lead guitarist Donald "Buck Dharma" Roeser, deals with eternal love and the inevitability of death. Dharma wrote the song while picturing an early death for himself. Released as an edited single, the song is Blue Öyster Cult's highest chart success, reaching #7 in Cash Box and #12 on the Billboard Hot 100 in late 1976. Critical reception was positive and in December 2003 "(Don't Fear) The Reaper" was listed at number 405 on Rolling Stone's list of the top 500 songs of all time.

The song was on the Billboard Hot 100 chart for 20 weeks, reaching number 12 for the weeks beginning November 6 and November 13 in 1976. In 1976 Rolling Stone named "(Don't Fear) The Reaper" the song of the year and, in 2004, the magazine placed the song at number 397 on its list of "The 500 Greatest Songs of All Time". When The Guardian released its unranked list of the "1000 Songs Everyone Must Hear" in 2009, the song was included. The publication wrote that the song's charm "lies in the disjuncture between its gothic storyline and the sprightly, Byrdsian guitar line that carries it." In his book The Heart of Rock and Soul: The 1001 Greatest Singles Ever Made, rock critic Dave Marsh ranked the song at number 997.

Tiny Dancer. It came out in 1971 on the album Madman Across The Water. 

When it was released as a single, it didn't do very well. The radio version was cut down from over 6 minutes long to about 3 and 1/2 minutes. It now enjoys a lot more popularity than when it was first released and is one of the more requested songs of Sir Elton John.

Bem Vindo ao primeiro Podcast do programa Antenados. Hoje eu vou apresentar a você, uma música que quebrou barreiras entre os gêneros musicais, rock e hip hop.
Vamos voltar à Década de 70…
Vocês estão prontos para embarcar nessa viagem? 
Década de 70: a década em que os Estados da Guanabara e do Rio se fundem sob nome de Estado do Rio de Janeiro, e Quando houve o primeiro encontro no espaço entre um russo e um americano éééé… palco de grandes acontecimentos. 

Mas vamos ao ponto que interessa. Na década de 70, houve a junção de duas bandas Chain Reaction e Jam Band, se tornando a famosa banda de Rock Aerosmith. 
Joey baterista da banda que sugeriu o nome, segundo o mesmo diz não ter nenhum significado especial, era apenas uma palavra que ele gostava de escrever em seu caderno.
Em 1975, Com seu terceiro álbum Toys in the Attic, a banda já estava ganhando rios de dinheiro, tornando o álbum com mais de onze milhões de cópias vendidas, 
Walk this way é a terceira faixa do disco, a música faz parte da lista " As 500 canções que formaram o rock and roll".
Aí é que começa a mágica
Em 1986, a banda já estava um pouco apagada, quando surge o grupo de hip hop. Esse grupo é nada mais nada menos que RUN-DMC.
Três dos 4 Membros do Run-DMC, Darryl Matthews e Joseph Simmons na voz e Jam-Master o DJ, cresceram no mesmo bairro no Queens em Nova York, lançaram seu primeiro single "Sucker MC's", que foi bem recebido atingindo número 15 na 
parada de R&B. O grupo atingiu sucesso comercial em 1986 com o álbum Raising Hell. A canção foi tão influente na história que se tornou a primeira canção de hip-hop a entrar no top cinco da Billboard Hot 100, incluindo o feat "Walk This Way" com Aerosmith.

O videoclipe "Walk This Way" é bem interessante, se passa com o Aerosmith e o Run-DMC em um duelo musical em estúdios vizinhos, com ambos ensaiando no volume máximo e com as caixas virado para a parede, até que Steven o vocalista literalmente rompe a parede que os separa. 

O legal é que cenas depois o videoclipe segue para a performance conjunta das bandas no palco tocando junto, mostrando que não há barreiras entre os gêneros, como se fosse um mal entendido. A música e o vídeo, que foi massivamente tocado na MTV, trazendo à banda de rock as pistas novamente e aumentando o poder do rap.
