In the beginning was The Word
A sovereign union, of pureness heard.
Alone with God, at one, complete
The Word was God, and His purpose sweet.

In the beginning, and by The Word
The first of firsts, at once occurred
The Spirit moved, and woke the deep
The Word was spoke, and the Spirit keeps

In the beginning, and by The Word
The call to Light, the dark interned
God saw the Light, and that it was good
The Word divides, the world understood

In the beginning, and by the Word
The firmament from sea unfurled 
God saw division, by land by day
The Word creates, the night holds stay

In the beginning, and by the Word
God called, he spoke, The Heaven’s preferred
God called, his Word, behoved to go
The Word, Our God, and it was so.

In The Beginning

When on the waves of life, and battered
And,
O’er the storm a voice is heard.

“Be steady brother, and keep on rowing
The waves are mine, and by my Word.
You know not what, lies dark beneath you,
and you fear the Serpent of the Sea
But, 
These waves you fear, they lift you near
To easy hear my “Steady Be”.



When in the pit, with refuse smattered
And,
O’er the top, a voice is heard….

“Be ready brother, love’s hope I’m throwing
The treasures mined, must be observed
You know not what, lies there within you
And you fear the worst, of what could be
But,
These things you’ve found, are anchor ground
So firmly stand, and “Ready Be”.

When on the scales, with garment tattered
And,
O’er the top, a voice is heard

“Make Ready, brother, we’re forward going
Bring garments new, of white unheard
You know not what, the ledger stated
And you feared the loss would heavy be
But,
Your Friend through life, has paid the price
And all is washed eternally


When on the waves, or in the pit
And,
Anywhere in between
There is no place, too far from Grace
And no place we are unseen.
You know not what; the morrow brings
Or what the case will be
But,
Whatever brings the weather, it is all
To Ready be.

It’s All To Ready Be

Mose spoke before the Lord, As every man has done.
But, he spoke to him, as face to face
The Omnipotent One.
Direct converse, correct on verse, God’s law of government
The closest man has ever been, to Heaven’s covenant.

Thus Moses spoke, Behold mine own, they have not harkened me
How then O’Lord, will Pharaoh hear, uncut my lips e’r be?
Uncircumcised, my lips disguised, my words are hid if spake
Mine own hear not, for anguish hot, of their cruel bondage sake.

Then spoke The Lord, “See, I have made thee
A God to Pharaoh now
Thy brother Aaron, he shall speak as Prophet of my vow.
You shall see in reality, as God, the seers part
And though I shall multiply with signs, the wonder is their hearts.

The King himself, with hardened, if only he would hear
Could not comprehend, for I the Lord, have hardened heart and ears.
That I may lay my hand upon, and bring my people out.
And Mose did, and God had spoke, in sight there is no doubt.
