Christine Winchester is a singer/songwriter who lives in the Philadelphia, PA area with her husband and music partner, David C. Perry. Together they have performed live together for years as Winchester/Perry. Please visit her Playlist page for collections of her most recent self-produced music. Christine is a fan of indie rock and modern pop music and strives to weave those production styles into her folky, story-telling lyrics. Her background in musical theater can't help but sneak out here and there, too. Her powerful vocal sound is reminiscent of singers of the past such as Linda Ronstadt, Carly Simon, Joni Mitchell, and Karen Carpenter, as well more modern voices such as Amy Mann, Alanis Morrisette, and Brandi Carlile.

Nadia Cripps is a piano teacher, a composer, a pianist and a songwriter. Nadia's music is based on classical traditions, it's gentle, romantic and melodic. Nadia would like her music to be used in movies, theatre productions, radio programmes, documentaries, performed in concerts, gigged. All Nadia's compositions are copyright. Nadia composes instrumental music and songs. Many of Nadia's songs are composed with her collaborators who write lyrics. Nadia also writes lyrics. Nadia's music and songs with her collaborators and her own songs reached semi-finals and finals in UK Songwriting Contest and Song of he Year Contest. Hello, here are my assignments for Jazz Improvisation Course, Garry Barton's class and also my last assignment for Practical Musicianship course on Coursera. I've enjoyed so much participating in this course. It was very productive and educational. The format of coursera changed now. I'm glad I had the chance to join it.

All backing tracks were provided for our assignments.

We've been given the melodies and chords progressions for our improvisations apart from assignment 2 where we were improvising using popular jazz modes.
