Alysha Shane is skilled in many forms of music from musical composition, songwriting, producing, engineering, drums, mpc, keyboard & bass guitar.  Alysha writes all her own music and is involved in all aspects of her music as she works hand and hand with her producer GHST to create her original authentic sound.

Alysha’s music, will be a mix of all genres of music from hip hop, trap, reggae, rock, soul, R&B, & pop.  Alysha’s album "Sound Gypsy" (releasing Winter 2018) brings a new age wavy psychedelic style with some heavy trap kicks, bass, snare & hi hat influenced adding dark airy pad layers with an early millennium alternative rock guitar riffs, and with west coast reggae/hip hop keys.

The Absent Summers are an acoustic folk and sometimes electro pop trio from York. We like strummy things, bowed things, plucky things, shaker things and singing things. We are Roz Watterson (Lead Vocals, Ukulele), Emily James (Violin, Backing Vocals, Glockenspiel) and Phil Hollings (Guitar, some Glockenspiel, Other stuff). Based around upbeat melodies and acoustic awesomeness, The Absent Summers will bring you lahrve! or some pretty tunes anyway. We are super friendly. x

The Present is an undulating distillation of its members' musical influences: from 1960s pop rock, 1970s prog, 1980s new wave through to 1990s metal. Throw in some 1920s big band jazz, and you'll get the idea!

Formed (like many bands) from the ashes of previous efforts, The Present was born in the fall of 2008 as a continuation of The Absent. 

The current line-up has been active since the summer of 2009.
