Discharge Planning and Interventions for Patients with Malnutrition: Improving Patient Outcomes

This podcast brings together two research teams publishing on bronchopulmonary dysplasia and micronutrient status.  Experts Melanie Newkirk, Jennifer Curtiss, Audrey Miller are the authors of the two papers discussed titled, “Effect of vitamin D supplementation on incidence of bronchopulmonary dysplasia among preterm infants <36 weeks gestational age” and “Review of micronutrients and fatty acids in bronchopulmonary dysplasia”. In this podcast, a review of micronutrient management in this population was reviewed and the need for more research in this area was emphasized.
