So, you’re at the beach, in a sand chair under an umbrella, munching your favorite crackers, having a cold one, and reading the paper.   First one crab, then two, notice.  You throw them a snack.  You doze in the sun...  Then more crabs notice - you wake surrounded - and the snacks are gone!  Time to flee!  🦀

LD/PocketDog is a singer/songwriter and acoustic guitarist.  His music has been described as hopeful, reassuring, mellow, funny, mysterious, chill, and romantic.  He’s written award-winning songs, and his recordings are known for their harmonic arrangements.    He has played as both a solo artist and in groups, sang in choirs, and enjoys creating music with other songwriters, singers, producers, and musicians.

After serving in the Army, he built a business career helping nonprofits and other organizations grow and achieve positive impacts for good causes.  Surviving a stroke changed his life.  Music encourages him on his recovery journey, and he hopes that it brings joy to all who listen.

I’m a full-time engineer, but I’ve been making music for 40-plus years. I studied jazz drums and Spanish guitar, and now I make music as both producer and guitar player.

I love instrumental rock and hip-hop and electronic music — especially when they start to overlap. To me, music should share electricity, and have a dynamic, stratified blend of styles.

I use Ableton DAW, add Moog and Arturia synthesizers, play guitar, and dive head over heels into the creative process. I really treasure the ancient power of music.

Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd and Anjunadeep music are some of my main influences.
