A volunteer community chorus, organized to provide the opportunity for a fellowship of gay and gay-friendly men to build a community spirit by singing together.

 The primary purpose of the chorus is the pursuit of musical excellence in performance. In addition, the chorus seeks to provide members with rewarding musical experiences, to promote social exchange within a group of men with a common purpose, and to reflect positive aspects of ourselves to our audience and the general community.

There’s a new General in Town and his name is Watkinz Da General. Born and raised in North Carolina in Wake Forest/Raleigh Southside Housing projects. Watkinz, turned to hip hop music early in his childhood. When rap music first exploded on the seen in the South East. He looked at musical influences like Marley Marl & The Juice Crew, Eric B & Rakim, Public Enemy, Boogie Down Production, EPMD, Gangstarr, Pete Rock & C.L. Smooth, Wu-Tang Clan, Nas, N.W.A. Poor Rightous Teachers,2 Pac, Geto Boys, Fat Boys, Kid N Play, MC Lyte, Queen Latifah, A Tribe Called Quest, Leaders Of The New Skool, D.I.T.C, M.O.P.,The D.O.C.,Notorius BIG, Whodini, LL Cool J, Little Brother, Common & Petey Pablo  for inspiration.

In his bedroom, was his studio, where he would have friends and others over for recording sessions using his: drum machine, sampler & 8 track recorder. He also DJ parties and soon was apart of group called (North Click) which lead him into a local college radio station (WKNC) as “MC Rappin Rob” on the mic and as a musical engineer. The group was approached for a record deal but, due to a bad contract they decided to turn it down.

As life went on for Watkinz, he remained in the studio mastering beats. Just as the music of hip hop has transform, he started to change by adding different sounds and elements into his beats. With access to the Web, Watkinz found a website called Dopetracks.com. Making himself known, he started posting various forms of beats that some are able to sing or rap over. During his networking he became a favorite and gained several awards there. Eventually he was apart of a group called “Category 5ive” that became well recognized until issues arrived making him leave to pursue his own mission . (Dopetracks released there own independent Allstar Mixtape CD in which his beat was number 2 on it called BEAT DROP.) From there he continues to work with other Independent artists such as Tye Banks


Watkinz just released his first album ever, called: “The Men & Women of Honor” in mid-March of this year (2010). He plans to release another later in years to come...

1989-2013 Braille Transcription & production Project by sighted volunteers. 
1989-2001 Likeskill Training through Adventure sports; mountaineering for the Blind at HMI, Darjeeling.

In 1989 the first step was worked out with the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Darjeeling under the Ministry of Defence, Government of India and the Indian Mountaineering Foundation, 
New Delhi, to mainstream Persons with Low Vision, Vision Impairment and total Blindness by imparting Life-skill training through Adventure Program such as Rock-climbing, Mountaineering and high-altitude treks upto Dzongri 13000ft in the West Sikkim. This course covered Blind young men and women joining from different parts of India, making it the first organized mountaineering training of the Blind in the world. This annual course continued till 2001 when SVH opted for Nature Study Camps for rural Blind children to comply with budgetary constraints.

1989 onwards volunteers began recording audio books for Blind students and giving live readers’ and writers’ service to Blind students pursuing higher education within West Bengal.

15 September 1996 on behalf of the Library Ministry, Government of West Bengal, Amitava Bose, Chief Librarian, State Central Library West Bengal, an apex Library of the State Government, invited the Society to open and manage a Braille & Talking Book Library in their newly constructed Library building at Kankurgachi on PPP model where the space and infrastructure were extended by the Government while SVH raised funds to manage expenses and investment cost of this unit with the help of volunteers who worked hard to meet with limited resources academic demand of students.

1996-2010 SVH has been tagged by Government, non-Government, private organizations, special schools for the Blind and special educators serving the cause without sufficient knowledge and appropriate aids and appliances for the Blind to share resources and expertise to bring a qualitative change in lives of Blind people. In 2010 The Hans Foundation contacted SVH as a God-send source of support and since then there was no looking back. We work hard to fulfill our passion “REACH EDUCATION TO SIGHTLESS CITIZENS.”

Over the years many new volunteers, some of them are trained special educators, have joined and we chose to pay them cost of job depending on the provisions in the Grant. Our friends and wellwishers continue to support us with their modest contributions in cash and kind which forms our General Fund to enable us to manage some special expenses for our Blind beneficiaries.

Da Stooie Bros. are a hip hop phenomenon in the making. Often referred to as the hip hop 3 stooges they bring comical entertainment to their musical performance. Da Stooie Bros. are Angel Deesky (formally known as Angel Dust), Grimey Grimm, and Rich Rap, three of the “Dummiest” boys in the business. Angel and Rich are by way of the “Bay Area” while Grimm is out that 3rd Coast “H”town, Texas. The Hyphy movement of the West meets the Crunk South. This lethal combination of talent from these two regions which are both on top of the music industry is exploding on the scene with an uncanny ability to create a party atmosphere wherever they go. 

Angel and Grimm have been touring with Baby Bash since his world-wide Smokin’ Nephew Tour as his hype men. Although, it wasn’t until Bash’s Super Saucy Tour that he began introducing them as Da Stooie Bros. 1 and 2. Then by the end of that tour Rich teamed up with Angel and Grimm to begin recording songs as Da Stooie Bros. 

Because each of the artist having successful solo careers they bring their own brand of seriousness and savvy talent. They compliment this further by infusing their own personalities in developing chemistry between the three creating a sort of brotherhood that shines through in their music. Expanding that even further with the help of Baby Bash Da Stooie Bros. intend on bringing a brand new sound of music never before experienced by the music industry and general public. 

Da Stooie Bros. are seasoned veterans not only at performing but also song writing. They have participated in writing songs that became hits for Baby Bash and Paula Deanda. And there performance experience stretches worldwide from Asia to Europe to the USA. Da Stooie Bros. are guaranteed to entertain the crowd because of their “Stooieness”. It can be best described in the words of Rich Rap. “Let’s get Crunk, Let’s go Dumb, Let’s get Stooie for life” Wut Izzzzz iiiitt…

We are just simply put, 2 boys who love everything there is to do with the dance music scene and dance music in general. The feel, the sight and sometimes even the smell of it. With both of us having a large pallet of musical tastes which stretches as far as nu-funk/disco and all the way to trance, added to the number of years of classical guitar training between us collectively and you have a combination of people who never get bored or uninspired to make & play music.
