On the first day of 2020, @Ida-Engberg made her Cityfox and Avant Gardner debut, filling the Void in Brooklyn with a decadent four-hour techno set for all to two-step into the new year. 'The Arrival,’ an audiovisual installation from visionary A/V architect duo, 404.zero, designed a spatial fantasy that interacted with the height of the drops and the depth of the bass, creating a journey of sound that lured people in from every corner of the five-stage complex. Listening back to this incredible early evening in January with Ida will surely have you craving her beats for weeks. Rayson Diaz, a contributor for FreshMusicFreaks.com writes, “Around 3 pm I decided to check out the lovely Ida Engberg, some of you may know her as Adam Beyer’s wife but I know her as a Techno goddess after this set. The production in the room known as the Void was insane thanks to a special art installment, which perfectly matched the intensity of her set.” 

A product of Sweden's techno scene, Ida Engberg has distinguished herself as a DJ/Producer through relentless hard work, passion, and her discerning ear for deep house. Her versatility and performance energy is infectious; whether she’s playing big room techno at Drumcode shows or waking up the spirits at after-hours all around the world, Ida continues to surprise and entice the sophisticated ears of the most committed techno listeners. 🗯🗯 Mit welchen Clubs / Kollektiven bist du verbunden und wie ist die Situation bei euch? 🗯🗯


Seit 2011 bin ich Resident bei der Nürnberger Veranstaltung NASTY und Elektrisch und dem Jeden Tag Ein Set Kollektiv.

Im Club Die Rakete in Nürnberg fühle ich mich auch wie zuhause und bin sehr froh ein Teil von dieser wilden kunterbunten Bande zu sein. 

Die Situation bei uns ist wohl genauso ungünstig wie für alle anderen in der Szene. Selbständige DJs, Promoter, Techniker usw usw müssen auch bei uns um ihre Existenz fürchten und erhalten nur kaum bis garkeine Unterstützung vom Staat. 

Gerade bin ich sehr froh, nicht voll und ganz von der Musik leben zu müssen. 

Die Situation ist wirklich bedrohlich. Vorallem für die gesamte Clublandschaft. 

Ich hoffe sehr, dass sich der Albtraum bald löst und wir wieder gemeinsam das tun können was wir gerne tun. Natürlich steht die Gesundheit über allem aber ich bin mir sicher, dass auch die Club Gastronomie die Hygienevorschriften und andere Konzepte einhalten könnte. Der Lehmann Club in Stuttgart hat dazu bereits ein tolles Konzept veröffentlicht, welches sich Lohnen würde es auszuprobieren. In der Schweiz funktioniert es ja auch.
Irgendwie müssen wir mit dieser Situation zurecht kommen, bevor alles was wir lieben völlig den Bach hinunter geht.
